Why? Why do you act like Jason Kidd is all that? He's 34 and extremely injury prone, these proposed deals aren't nearly as lopsided as you're making it seem...Hell, any deal involving Farmar or Bynum should actually be considered lopsided in New Jersey's favor...

sam cassell was 37 wen he completely turned the clippers team around. the whole point of kidd is for the immediate help to get kobe his championship while kobe's in his prime, nobody is expecting kidd to stay with us for the next 10 years. injuries definitely would be an issue for him, but he's not mutombo old, he's 11 months older than nash. and not that stats mean everything, but you can actually argue that statistically kidd is doing better now at 33 than he has been ever since the Nets were still contenders.

now of course, if kidd gets injured during play-offs then i'd be pissed like fuck. but our luck cant possibly get even worse than it is now.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like him on the team, I'm just saying we wont really be getting more than a few years out of him...Kidd will be retiring when a player like Farmar is entering his prime or when Bynum could be dominating the league...Even Kwame I wouldn't wanna trade. And lets not forget that huge salary...Once again, I like Kidd, but not if we're gunna break up key pieces to our future...PeACe
