Smush is so weak on the screen and roll, that"s comedy.. Suns took a 10 point lead just coz Nash owned Smush... then Shammond came back and played solid D ... i'm sick of all this BS... players should reunite and play like pro.. instead of acting like kids

word, with all these fuckin injuries, the last thing we need is this smush drama.

Smush has been a better scorer lately, but that guys lack of skills amazes me sometimes. A point guard who can't dribble, can't create his own shot, can't create a shot for anyone else, and would rather run into the screen then go around it and guard his man...$700,000 a season is TOO MUCH!

I'm not gunna defend Smush pouting, but that's how dude is, he's very emotional...He's in a role he shouldn't be in to begin with, he went from NBDL to starting point guard for the LA Lakers over one summer. Smush in an ideal situation would be coming off the bench for a good 15-20 minute stretch. I can understand why he gets upset though, the way Phil plays his players. Sometimes they'll just start getting it going, and next thing you know, substitution. Phil is weird with his roatations, our point guard situation looks about 10 times better than it did a month ago with Shammond and McKie emerging though. No need to trip, our concerns are injuries right now, not the lack of Smush's satisfaction.

I don't understand Smush. I've defended Smush on other Laker boards where he gets bashed to all hell but this just makes me shake my head.

Cursing out the coach? WTF?

There's no rationalizing that, there's no defending that, period.

He should be mad at himself for getting outplayed by Shammond Williams. Dude has been sitting on the bench all season and hasn't said a word. Smush has been starting for the greatest franchise in sports and he has the nerve to curse out Phil. That tells you something about each player. One is a professional that goes out there and does his job. The other pouts and gets angry at the coach when things don't go his way.

Now I feel like a fool for defending him.

Unbelievable.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

I don't believe everything I read, I know Smush pouts, but it could very easily have been taken out of context...

Walton has developed a troubling case of tendinitis in his injured ankle.
By Mike Bresnahan, Times Staff Writer

3:30 PM PST, March 5, 2007 Forward Luke Walton, who has missed 17 games because of a sprained right ankle, saw ankle specialist David Thordarson, and was diagnosed with ankle tendinitis that has become more of a problem than the sprain itself. Walton will not join the team for the final three games of its road trip and will be re-evaluated early next week.

The Lakers look to to snap a two-game losing streak as they head north to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers continue to be without forwards Lamar Odom and Luke Walton.

I don't understand why Phil is so loyal to some of these Bunms...why the fuck was Shammond on the bench for the 1st 52 games of the season?....Him and McKie are playing really good.  :)

The whole point was to get the veterans rested and give the younger guys the first half of the season...It was the plan all along. Phil has always depended on veterans down the stretch...PeACe
