^^^^ Lamar shoulder will be tested again and examined in 2 weeks.. then he will decide if he can play with that pain or if a surgery is needed... anyway a surgery will have to happened and regarding the fact the timetable for a return is 4 months, I prefer Lamar to be out for the season , have surgery as soon as possible and be ready for the 07-08 season... even if I still have faith, it's very hard to believe a run in the playoffs is possible, regarding the fact you can't fight against the luck factor..

i got a better idea then tanking in this season and waiting for next years

trade kobe to a winning team with an actual chance of winning the nba title before the year 2020
face it the only way the lakers have a shot of bringing back the glory to LA is by lucking up and somehow getting KG  :)

The only way I would think about trading Kobe would be for Lebron James or Dwight Howard and a couple of #1's, even then I still wouldn't do it, neither would Cleveland or Orlando.

Trading Kobe is not the answer. The answer would be to first, get everyone healthy, and get some defensive help in the back court. If Kwame works on a 15 footer, we can move him to PF, move Lamar back to SF. We can evaluate Mihm's ankle and sign for cheap to be a backup center. Whatever we do, we need to get Kobe some backcourt help. I know I'm not the only one who cringes with horror when Smush and Sasha are in the game at the same time.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Trading Kobe before 2010 will get you nowhere. To make that trade worth a shit they'd have to get a young top calibre player back and I don't see any team doing that. Although if you go nowhere till 2010 then I'd rather trade Kobe and rebuild, Philly-Style. If they don't make another step forward next year they have to work something out though if they don't want to become the next T-Wolves, having a great player but be out in the 1st round all the time. They are too good to get decent draft picks but from what it looks like now not good enough to beat an elite team in 7 and make it past the 1st round. I don't see them beating the Spurs at all from what things look right now.

And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

The Lakers need a win to snap their current 4-game losing streak as they roll into Philadelphia to take on the 76ers.  TV Coverage will be tape delayed until 5:30pm on KCAL/9
