tru a lot of NBA sports writers are trying to spread trade rumors like Odom for Artest or whatever, but fuck that shit, Odom has the skills to play almost any position, why would Mitch Kupchak trade Odom without at least seeing what a frontline of Odom, Gasol & Bynum would be like.

Odom is one of the most underated players in the NBA, so he's not a incredible scorer, he can do everything else and is capable of giving the Lakers a near triple double on any given night.

Lakers jus need to worry bout resigning The Machine & Ronny and we'll be fine next season.

Odom, Walton, Ariza, Radmanovic. The Lakers have enough small forwards.

Coby Karl too...if we keep him.

and lets not forget, Kobe is supposed to slide up to small forward for a good portion of next season.

Lakers, Kupchak ready to make offer to Sasha

Published by LD2k on June 27, 2008 in 2008 Off-Season.

Seems like the Lakers are on top of their game with Sasha…

The Lakers now move forward to free agency, which begins Monday at 9 p.m. They are particularly interested in re-signing Sasha Vujacic, a restricted free agent. “I intend to contact him at 9:01 on Monday night,” Kupchak said. The Lakers are also interested in re-signing Ronny Turiaf, a restricted free agent.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be another Luke Walton case...Sasha should get no more than 3-4 mill a year.

4 real ... WTF ?  Dude just needs to work on staying with his opponent after a screen is set up on him on the defensive end .. and limited his amount of "out-of the flow of the offense" shots on  but he's a important piece of our squad ... getting rid of Vlad and Luke is the right thing to do

^As if anybody would take on their contracts lol
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Lakers interested in James Posey, Brent Barry

The Lakers continue to wait for Sasha Vujacic and Ronny Turiaf, but they have fall-back plans in case their restricted free agents don't re-sign with them.

The Lakers have talked with representatives of Boston small forward James Posey and veteran San Antonio sharpshooter Brent Barry to gauge the free agents' interest.

Posey, a key reserve for the Celtics, is expected to draw the full mid-level exception of five years and about $30 million, though the Celtics have said they consider signing him an off-season priority.

Posey, though, is studying his options, primarily on championship contenders that include the Lakers, said his agent, Mark Bartelstein.

"I would say so," Bartelstein said. "When you get a taste of a championship, you want to keep winning them. The Lakers are a great team."

Posey, 31, averaged 6.7 points and 3.6 rebounds a game in the playoffs for the Celtics, including an 18-point outburst in the pivotal Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Posey was also on the Miami Heat team that won the championship in 2006.

Barry, 36, spent the last four seasons with the Spurs. He averaged 7.1 points last season, making a commendable 42.9% of his three-point attempts. He is a career 40.7% shooter from three-point range.

Vujacic and Turiaf remain priorities for the Lakers, though they are testing their worth around the league. The Lakers have the right to match any offer sheet they sign with another team.
