Bill Simmons owning Laker-Fans again:

Quote
To the Lakers' fans. If you think your boys improved by swapping Trevor Ariza (a 24-year-old who came into his own this past spring, shot 45 percent from 3-point land, came through repeatedly in the clutch, turned into the NBA's single best defensive swingman and doesn't care about his numbers) for Ron Artest (an unreliable 29-year-old head case/attention hog who slipped noticeably as a perimeter defender these past two seasons and has a knack for taking terrible shots at the worst possible times), then absolutely, you're on drugs. I don't know what else to tell you. Your team is worse. I'm sorry. And that's before we get into the whole "Is Lamar Odom coming back?" and "Do you really want to commit to an aging Artest for FIVE years?" questions.

LOL @ looking up to an idiot like bill simmons.....

he's just a scared little bitch, he don't want to see a Lakers team with a healthy Bynum

the only team that got worst is the celtics

Lakers waive Chinese G Sun Yue

(AP) – 54 minutes ago

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guard Sun Yue, the Chinese national team star who won an NBA championship ring during one quiet season with the club.

The move was announced Friday.

Sun played 10 games with the Lakers, scoring six points in 28 minutes. He also played two stints in the D-League, but struggled to find a regular role in Los Angeles.

The Lakers, who drafted Sun in 2007, held a $736,000 option on Sun for next season. He was waived the same day Lamar Odom agreed to a multiyear deal to return to the club.

"With the talent level and depth of our roster, the situation simply doesn't provide an opportunity for Sun Yue to get the chance to play that he deserves," general manager Mitch Kupchak said.

That sucks. :( They should of sent him to play overseas.

^^^^ I guess all these awards shows in February are the reason we have to play a lot of home games early in the season ...  still hesitate between going in early December : NO, Heat, Jazz, Suns would be good games to attend  or in February with SAS , Celtics , Denver and Indiana

He's a Lakers legend and did a lot for this organization ... but to be honest I don't mind it ... I prefer B Shaw to take over after Phil retirement

What about B. Scott? (Of course.... Some strings would get pulled or whatever... just a what if?)
I know having a "Showtime" Laker post Jackson would defo make some of us happy  ;D

That said... Congrat's again to Rambis.
I think dude will carve his own mark, I have high hopes.
(Player's like him end up becoming the next PJ's...)

Phil may coach for several additional years now that Rambis left according to Jeannie Buss... Phil will coach as long as Kobe plays imo
