I thought it went Dre, Hittman, then Rakim on the Original.  They added Truth and Jay-z and removed Hittman for the final cut

Yep, i asked my friend about it and he said that it was originally Dre, Hittman and Rakim...

I talked to Ben Baller (his DJ) back when his verse leaked on the Watcher 3 "mix" back in 2003 i think.  Thats what he told me it was also.  He said he couldn't remember if Hitt or Rakim wrote Dre's verse but it was one of the two.  He also told me that there is another version of the Watcher remix with an additional 16 bars from Hittman after Rakim's verse.
