LMAO at anyone that says Duncan isnt really that good, thats the funniest thing ive heard in a minute

oh yeah Duncans stats tonight, 27 points (12-16) (made all 4th quarter shots), 10 Rebs, 8 Assists, dude sucks...dont know why he hasnt been traded yet

First off all, that was obviously not Duncan's average contribution, but a good game of his.

Secondly, when I said that I didnt mean that he doesn't deserve his MVP titles, rings or constant All-Star appearances, but that he's simply far from the last man standing when it comes to the question of who's the best player in the league.

I mean look at Dirk's last game, homie.

34 points, 15-15 FTs. 13 Rebs, 7 Assists. He ain't the best player in the league though.

Last year many of these advance stats lover give Dirk high ratings.  These were the top 5 players last year

1. Duncan
2. Garnett
3. Dirk
4. Lebron
5. S. O'neal

LMAO. Makes NO sense. The list was made before Kobes 62 point game. He obviously went up value wise this last week, but Hollinger decides it's best if he's replaced on the list by Dirk Nowitzki, even though Dirk's recenty been inconsistant (2 whack games followed by 2 good ones). LOL. Straight comedy...

I don't need special stats to say Kobe is the best player in the NBA right now.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Los Angeles Lakers
Anaheim Angels

LMAO. No actually..he was only in the hollinger stats top 5 BECUASE of that 62 point game. These stats arn't messed up either. Experts use these stats to pick out MVP's and etc. They;'ve been using em for a couple of years. However, your favorite player kobe is still #1 in total Usage rate (a fancy termf or ball-hogging)

BUt props ont he Lakers and their fantastic run so far.

Hollinger Stats: Player Efficiency Rating

Key to Player Statistics
FG% Field-goal Percentage

FT% Free-throw Percentage

ORR Offensive Rebound Rate

DRR Defensive Rebound Rate

TS% True Shooting Percentage calculates what a player’s shooting percentage would be if we accounted for free throws and 3-pointers. True Shooting Percentage = (Total points x 50) divided by [(FGA + (FTA x 0.44)]

Ast Assist Ratio is the percentage of a player’s possessions that ends in an assist. Assist Ratio = (Assists x 100) divided by [(FGA + (FTA x 0.44) + Assists + Turnovers]

Reb Rebound Rate is the percentage of missed shots that a player rebounds. Rebound Rate = (Rebounds x Team Minutes) divided by [Player Minutes x (Team Rebounds + Opponent Rebounds)]

PER Player Efficiency Rating is my overall rating of a player’s per-minute statistical production. The league average is 15.00 every season.

TO Turnover Ratio is the percentage of a player’s possessions that end in a turnover. Turnover Ratio = (Turnover x 100) divided by [(FGA + (FTA x 0.44) + Assists + Turnovers]

Usg Usage Rate is the number of possessions a player uses per 40 minutes. Usage Rate = {[FGA + (FT Att. x 0.44) + (Ast x 0.33) + TO] x 40 x League Pace} divided by (Minutes x Team Pace)

Btw the way, Kobe Bryant has the HIGHEST USG rate...which is ^^^^^

i was going to post this up at the beginning of the season, the list looked different then though. but i thought it was misleading. this obviously isnt a list of who the top players are, but a list of who has to do the most for their team. a superstar with an outstanding group around him, wouldnt get a high rating. but a superstar, with a weak supporting cast would be putting up incredible numbers all around.

^mad cuz Duncan's not on there. ;D

naw, he was on it in the "projections" before the season for this list. I believe he was second or third. Lebron was number one, and i think Garnett was 2 or 3. i just dont always go on lists like this...if i did, i would have posted it at the beginning of the season when i saw Duncan rated so high...and to be honest, Kobe was really low. but it didnt mean shit to me then, so it doesnt now either. if this list means alot to you...then go ahead and give up on your "Lebron/Kobe" argument. Honestly tho, look at those top 5 and other then Wade, none of those guys have some sort of amazing cast around them. They HAVE to do everything.

2005 Spurs' PER

Duncan 27.0
Ginobli 22.3
Parker 18.0

I guess that makes Duncan that much better?  Since he was able to pull of a 27 PER in a team that isnt full of nobodies

Who cares about these stats ? Kobe is the best player in the nba (3 rings, the best clutch player in the nba and by ................. far) Anyways  he can score 62 pts in 3 QTRS or whatever he'll always be hated by some . Don't forget the most hated are people who are on top. Plus I don't need these stats to know Brand is a very good player, still had impressive numbers and no recognition
