If you can die for the US in war at age 18 you should be able to buy alcohol.
Plus you can drink at HOME at the age 18 in your parents house anyway.

The limit down here in NZ was lowered to 18 from 21 a few years ago, shit has backfired big time, and now they're considering raising it back up to 21. Sucks too, way too many teeny boppers inside the clubs. And w/ the smoking ban, lol, night life juss isn't the same..............I'm only 26 and I'd rather party at home than go out the clubs, unless we off to see some slappers!! hehe

Here it's sorta twisted.

To buy mild alcoholic drinks (beer, wine...) from a store, you gotta be 18. When you turn 20 you can buy whatever else. But with clubs and bars it's different - The admission ages vary from 18 to as much as 28 (most are 20 or so though). If you're old enough to get in, you can drink whatever they have there, even if you couldn't buy it in stores.

I agree with the age being 21...i personally think there is a HUGE difference in levels of maturity between 18 and 21...when i was 18 i would drink and do stupid shit and i never thought it would have an effect on anyone but me...and i was lucky it didnt...but not everyone is that lucky. when i drink now that im almost 21 (2 months left) i am way smarter. i dont get in the car. i dont drink if i have to get up early the next day. and i don't usually drink to the point of throwing up...i wouldn't of even though of those things when i was 18

hell yeah i did have sum bad experience thanks to alcohol, i had a lot of stress and drank a lot like 2 yrs ago and got caught for doin vandalism (yes, you can't get any stupider ) and im ashamed i did it, I learned a lot from it, you can't just destroy other ppl their belongings, if someone did it to my stuff i would flip out.... And the stress with my parents and a neighbour fight didn't help either. but hey it was all my own fault and i learned from it.
