its  Scott Storch.    That beat sounds just like   "Light Speed" .  With  lasers and shit whistlin in the background  and those  guitar strings.    Im thinkin maybe  Scott Storch was  a   "ghost producer"  for  2001.       Anyway that beat sounds incredible if you gotta nice stereo system with surround sound.  I was bumpin it   on my parents  system   on   "COLISEUM"   setting ........ shit was  >>>

I think around the time they started working together in '98 Scott helped or influenced Dre into creating futuristic funk for "2001," or maybe now Scott just uses the style cause he has been around Dre so much.  The one song I've heard him produce that doesn't sound like a Dre beat of today is the last song on "Tha Last Meal."
