The Dream Team Producers Cool & Dre Officially launch new site for unsigned talent

Posted: 12 Jun 2009 04:00 AM PDT

PRESS RELEASE

Miami Based chart-topping super producing duo Marcello “Cool” Valenzano and Andre “Dre” Lyon also know as Cool & Dre have officially launched their new site www.RateYourDemo.com.

RateYourDemo.com offers aspiring artists, producers, and songwriters a chance to have their music reviewed by REAL players in the music industry such as Grammy nominated Cool & Dre and other music producers, A&R’s and music professionals from both major and independent labels. The sites offers artists a chance to submit tracks, beats and lyrics for REAL industry professionals to not only review, but possibly obtain song and track placement on future albums as well as potentially landing a record deal.

Because A&R executives rarely have time to find talent the site serves as a way for artists to receive constructive criticism from the Grammy nominated duo and actually have a chance of being discovered. The review site has already had 3,000 submissions and has helped the duo discover neo R&B artist New Time Soul who they plan to work with. The site will soon be converted to a full fledge social network site. The site, which is free to join, also now offers forums and blogs on the hottest topics in the industry and the ability to private message other members in the community.

In other Cool & Dre news, the super duo have completed 10 tracks on Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated rock album titled “Rebirth.” Cool & Dre have also produced Interscope recording artist Wale’s hot single “Chillin” featuring Lady Gaga . Cool & Dre were recently in the studio with Queen Latifah who has hired the super duo exclusively to oversee and produce all the tracks for her upcoming album “Persona” set for release on July 7th, 2009. This will be Latifah’s first hip hop album in 10 years! Other projects in the works include production on Justin Timberlake’s new hip hop/rock group called Free Sol signed to Timberlake’s Tennman Records, Amarie’s new album “Break Ups and Make Ups and Lloyd’s upcoming album (titled TBD). Cool & Dre also recently completed the remix for Fall Out Boys’ hit song “America’s Sweetheart” and tracks on Birdman’s new album including the single, “Get it.” Their Epidemic Music imprint is also gearing up for the release of the debut album of hip-hop artist C-ride who is featured on Cash Money artist 2 Pistols single titled “Lights Low 2″ produced by Cool & Dre.

Lastly, expanding into the world of movies and lending their talents to producing scores and soundtracks, Cool & Dre have wrapped up production on “Walk The Dinosaur” performed by Queen Latifah which will be featured on 20th Century Fox’s film “Ice Age 3″ set for release on July 4, 2009 in which Latifah co-stars as well. Cool and Dre have also been hired exclusively to score Queen Latifah’s next film titled “Just Wright” and serve as music supervisors for the film. “Just Wright” is a romantic comedy currently in pre-production and to be released on Fox Searchlight.

Cool & Dre create original music that crosses a variety of musical genres and that merge the lines that divide pop culture. This is evident when you look at the stellar list of artists that Cool & Dre have worked with which include Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, Gym Class Heroes, The Game, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Wale, Freeway, Darryl Hall, and Duffy to name a few. Cool & Dre have been instrumental in bringing to the masses such classic # 1 hits as “New York” by Ja Rule and “Hate it or Love It” by 50 Cent and The Game for which they were nominated for a Grammy award. Most recently they were also nominated in the prestigious Album of The Year category for their work with Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” and in the Best Rap Album Category for their work on Nas’ “Nas” album.

Aside from their musical skills, these entrepreneurs also keep busy with their clothing line named DIRTY ROYALTY – www.dirtyroyalty.com . The line is sold at major retailers in Miami (Shoe Gallery), Atlanta (Walters) and New York (Zevo).

I actually submitted 5 songs to RateYourDemo.com and actually got some very constructive feedback.  The site is legit and well worth the $24.99 I spent.  I have tried to promote my songs all over the internet and this seems to be one of the few useful sites.  It is not a bogus contest or full of false promises.  You pay to get your tracks critiqued by music pros like Cool & Dre and that is exectly what you get!

Nice to hear that people are getting use out of their service.  I feel it is one of the top up and coming sites, but who knows since new ones pop up everyday!
