I know this is a sin because it's a west coast board but Street's Disciple is the best 2-disc release by a rap artist.  It at once pays homage to the golden era of hip-hop (through it's beat selection) while fleshing out Nas's diversity as an artist (great experimentation by Nas through Scarlett) and reflection of his depth as a human (the topics range from love, social conditions, persona history, musical history, politics, race.)  While people love Illmatic, I rate this as Nas at his finest.

LMAO  like thats actually CLOSE to all eyez on me, wutang forever, r u still down, judgement day or ready to die

wu-tang forever = not classic.
r u still down = not classic.
judgement day = meths 2nd album? are you fucking crazy? it's not even two discs
ready to die = not even two discs
best hiphop double album ever

to each his own. i find the album to get boring during the last part of the first cd, then get really good on the second then falls into another slump at the end of the 2nd disc

I think Hip Hop Is Dead gets some unfair hate, definately not a classic by any means but I thought it was a solid album, some dope joints on there for sure.

I don't like All Eyez On Me.  The more famous Tupac got the more his material became diluted.

I didn't dislike AEOM, but its not as great as everyone says it is. Me Against The World and Thug Life are far better albums for me. Some of the tracks on the second disc of AEOM sound very similar and start to get a bit boring. If it had just stuck to 1 disc it would have been a classic no doubt. I'm still to listen to Wu-Tang Forever for some reason. Oh and yer, Streets Disciple is a boring album but it does have some bangers on it at the same time. Again, 1 disc = would of been great album.
