It at once pays homage to the golden era of hip-hop (through it's beat selection) while fleshing out Nas's diversity as an artist (great experimentation by Nas through Scarlett) and reflection of his depth as a human (the topics range from love, social conditions, persona history, musical history, politics, race.) While people love Illmatic, I rate this as Nas at his finest.LMAO like thats actually CLOSE to all eyez on me, wutang forever, r u still down, judgement day or ready to diewu-tang forever = not classic.r u still down = not classic.judgement day = meths 2nd album? are you fucking crazy? it's not even two discsready to die = not even two discsbest hiphop double album ever

I think Hip Hop Is Dead gets some unfair hate, definately not a classic by any means but I thought it was a solid album, some dope joints on there for sure.
I don't like All Eyez On Me. The more famous Tupac got the more his material became diluted.

Nas second best, I am. You gotta remeber that I Am was supposed to be a double disc originally. When the source reviewed the advance copy he got 5 Mics. But around this time frame Napster came out making Nas's I am one of the first cd's to be exploited by the brand new mp3 format. Think Im lyin, google what Im talkin bout. I am in its original form woulda been Nas's All Eyez on Me. To save you guys the trouble of searchin here is the original I Am tracklist how it was given to the Source mag.the orignal track list for iam the autobiography double diskdsk 1 1.
