How do you post a pic on a Wikipedia page?

I went to there how to section, and also checked how others had edited pages, and all they would put is something like {Snoop.jpg} and somehow magically the picture would come up on the page.  I don't see any space to put the URL like we do when we would post something to the site hear.

Anyone understand what I mean and can explain?

I edit a lot of stuff on there. It's pretty empowering actually.  People all over the world are looking up information and reading it in your words, so you can help shape their understanding on a particular subject your interested in.
