without much effort you can easily spot Game's lyrical abilities (puns, similes, wordplays, metaphors, double entendre, rhyming scheme). now i'm by no means a Game fan, I think he's corny, unauthentic, and I don't like his antics. that being said, I like some of his music and as an MC he's pretty impressive when he's focused. I understand not liking him, but to say he has no bar is ridiculous. it's not the best MC in the west, but regardless of his music and his content, he's an elite rapper

Well said.

Blu is a dope rapper too

Are we talkin' about the best of all times or the best in 2016?

When I made the thread, I was just talking about who is the best on the West lyrically - like who has or had the hardest bars.

I think we all agree it's Xzibit, Ras Kass and Gotti - people mention Cube, too, of course, and Crooked I.

I personally rate Planet Asia, too.

I would say Crooked I has probably been the most consistent over the years in terms of strictly lyrics and bars
