Outkast Prepares Movie & New Album

Universal Pictures has acquired worldwide distribution rights to HBO Films’ untitled original motion picture musical starring OutKast, it was announced today.
OutKast’s André 3000 and Big Boi both star in the film, which will feature new songs from the duo’s next album, which will be a soundtrack album.
Bryan Barber, the award-winning director and longtime OutKast music video collaborator, makes his feature film directing debut on the film. The film’s soundtrack will feature all new songs by OutKast and will be released on LaFace/Zomba Label Group in the fourth quarter of 2005. Universal Pictures will wide release the film in 2006.

I hope this new album is strictly hip hop. No eclectic shit by Andre I hope unless it's a chorus. I don't mind that shit but to hear Andre spit verses is much better.

That´s definitely debatable. I can see how somebody can dislike it, and it didn´t blow my mind either. Andre is creative, but hiphop fans tend to overrate this kind of stuff, because they´re not used to it. Technically, Andre is a mediocre musician, BUT he´s a great rapper, so while I def wouldn´t mind two or three Love-Below-like tracks, I wanna hear him rap again, too. He´s just better at that

Outkast NEVER disappoints so I am anticipating this album like crazy. I dunno about the movie eventhough Andre is a good actor.

That's where the ten track album was mentioned but I can't recall when and from where I heard about Organized Noize producing the album.
