dr. dre crip question

in my english class we got the topic gangs in us.... and at the moment we talk about crips and bloods...

there was a list of westcoast rappers who was affiliated with crips.... snoop, warren, nate, spider loc, easy-e etc. but Dr. Dre wasn't on it.... so my homie said he didnt understand why Dre wasn't on it, then i thought about it and i never read or heard that Dre ever been crip affiliated.... is he??

my other homie got me to thinkin a little when he said it was weird that game got a nwa tatto and a tatto of eazy-e when he is a blood...
what do yall think about that?

i know that he never banged but i´m pretty sure he´s affiliated with some crip or blood gang coz he came up in that era when gang banging started to really take off.

Dre used to hang around Atlantic Drive Crip hood when he was younger, but as a lot of people have said, he never actually banged himself.  I dunno where ya'll heard he lived in a Piru neighborhood.

I'd believe that, except that you hear Dre using Crip slang throughout "The Chronic" - he refers to cats as "loc" many times, especially on "Fuck Wit Dre Day".  If he really lived in a Piru hood, I doubt he'd be doing that, because even if he never actually banged, he probably wouldn't want to disrespect the niggas he came up with.
