Ronaldo and Van Nistlerooy have an altercation in training

Manchester United stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud van Nistelrooy reportedly had to be separated by team-mates in training on Monday.

It was mixed fortunes for the United duo at the weekend with Ronaldo seeing red against Man City while van Nistelrooy got his name on the scoresheet with a fine finish.

Following the weekend defeat to their Eastlands rivals, tempers flared in Carrington ahead of Burton Albion's visit on Wednesday in the FA Cup.

Van Nistelrooy was believed to be unhappy at Ronaldo's dismissal for his challenge on Andy Cole that resulted in United being forced to battle on with ten men.

The pair reportedly hurled abuse at each other and nearly came to blows before being pulled apart by colleagues.

I can see y RVN would be annoyed at Ronaldo, he is a wonderful talent but he needs to learn when to pass the ball

C.Ronaldo is a horrible player.Yeah , he has some skills but he never does anything for the team.He is useless.

i wouldnt say he was useless he just needs some direction, at times he can be devastating for example in last years fa cup final against arsenal he embarressed lauren throughout the match and supplied good crosses we were just unable to score. He can become a great player if he listens and learns

lol yeah we lost on penalties but im sure even arsenal fans would admit that man utd should have won the game easily. We missed countless opportunities it just wernt r day.
