Capello to stop coaching in 2009

Juventus coach Fabio Capello plans to stop working in football in 2009.

The 59-year-old coach has won six Serie A titles with three different Italian clubs and also guided Real Madrid to the Spanish championship in 1997.

Capello, whose Juventus contract runs out in the summer of 2007, said: "In three years time I'll stop (coaching), but I won't go into retirement.

"Maybe I'll commentate a few matches on television, but I want to have more free time to travel and see the world."

Capello started his coaching career at AC Milan, with whom he won four Serie A titles in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1996.

He added the 1997 Spanish title in his only season with Real Madrid.

He returned to Milan but quickly moved on to AS Roma, where he spent the next five years.

In 2001 Roma won the Serie A title for only the third time in their history.

At the start of last season, Capello moved north to Turin to take charge of Juventus.

The club won the Serie A title and with a 10-point lead this season are favourites to win the italian league again.

Capello added: "I've still got another year to run on my contract with Juve. I'm not sure what I'll do with the other two.

"An experience in a foreign league interests me, but for now I'm very happy at Juventus."

I have jsut read in todays paper that Real wants him.He said he might coach them but they need to make changes:

Bring in : Adriano,Ibrahimovic,Viera and Gerrard

Fire: Ronaldo,Carlos,Helguera and Salgado

Any1 else heard anything about this?

Totally bullshit. Capello will stay. He confirmed it today for the 900th times. He has never said he wants to go to Real. He has always denied that. It's Spanish media who are continuing with this bullshit. He'll stay. And Juventus just bought him Marchionni from Parma (for free).

P.S.
Capello is not a free agent, lol. Juventus wants to keep him, and he'll probably renovate for 2 other years anyway. So..
