Soundscan don't track sales outside of the US or even sales from the mom and pop stores in the US...That's why Soundscan says Doggystyle sold like 6 million but it could be 7 or 8 million cause real street niggaz don't shop at Sam Goody's they get that shit from the mom and pops...

Again, it is NOT Diamond. You have to sell 10 million in the states alone to be considered Diamond. Hell, the Fugees probably sold 15 million copies worldwide of the Score, but only 7 million in the states. Therefore, the album is NOT Diamond.

word. these numbers look really close to what is real i think. hey dogg the only things you messed up on were country grammar sold 8 million and only one of dmx's albums went 5x and that was and then there was X. but the rest look good.

i found an interesting article that tells the actual truth about how much this album should've sold along wit the chronic. peep this shit homies:

Two albums that have missed are Dr. Dre's "Chronic" and Snoop Doggy Dogg's debut "Doggystyle".  These are two albums that experienced huge success in the "mom and pop" establishments.  It seems like every rap fan owns these albums, but they are certified at 3 million(Chronic) and 5 million(Doggystyle), low for two blockbuster albums in the era they were released. It is rumored that Dr. Dre has sold over 8 million copies of Chronic. Snoop Dogg was the highest selling rap album for the first week( before Eminem), but only the Soundscan stores were counted in the 800,000 copies counted.  This was without the stores without Soundscan.  Being released in 1993, there were many stores that have Soundscan now that did not back then.
   There is one thing that cannot be left out.  Where you have such an important establishment, there is always room for shady operations.  There can be cases where Soundscan store can be bribed into scanning product of albums that were not really sold.  Companies can benefit from such false chart position.  Let's not be naive and don't think that major record companies own or have stock in stores with different names.  Why not ship 2 million copies of your own product to your own stores to boost the popularity and status of your artist.  They can also cover up for failed albums by keeping up their stats as far as sales.  On quite a few occasions, the RIAA certifications are far away from the actual sales of some products.

and if it says that chronic is rumoured to have 8 million sold i'm pretty sure that doggystyle must have at least 8-10 million sold alone in the states cuz doggystyle wuz more popular than the chronic was.
