Doggystyle held the record with over 800,000 copies sold the first week until Eminem broke it...By late 1996 It had sold over 5 million copies as it said on the Death Row Greatest Hits booklet...I'm guessing since then it has sold an extra 1 or 2 million...So it is probably at about 6 or 7 million in the US and around 10 million worldwide...

That shits outdated homie. Look at how long ago it was certified. It says it was certified 4 Million in 05/31/94. Damn that was 8 years ago so fa sho Snoop sold at least 8 million.

i read in a death row cd cover (In Uk) that doggystyle sold 15 Million and chronic sold 10 World Wide, but that was a few month's ago and i got a feelin (what with me bein quite fucked on Ket. Chronic and Alcohol that i might be makin it up, Fuck it, yeah i am, i jus decided to make up this post cuz i'm bored and might jus go on talkin all night....i've had fuck all sleep since i woke up yesturday mornin bout 9am, and it's now 10:45pm, ever tried drivin on Ket. Alc. & Pot, it's CRazY, i was goin about 10 mph but it felt like i was goin 100mph and also had to have one of my friends (who was also on same) direct me cuz i couldn't see very well, what with the fog and the fact that it was 3 in the mornin,) we got our Munch, Cig's and Rizla and got the fuck back to a friends house to carry on the 36 hour sesh,

nobody know exactly how much it sold but the thing i know is for sho is that behind the music said it was 8 million so i'm guessing that's the number but i was thinkin more along the lines of diamond. oh and for worldwide sales jay ay bee sounds about right when he says 15 million.

Doggystyle is NOT Diamond. Its sold 5 million, maybe 6 million tops [as far as USA sales go]. The only two official rap albums that have gone Diamond [and no, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice dont count, im talking about LEGIT rap albums] are All Eyez On Me and Life After Death. How do I know all this? I got a friend who works for Soundscan, and he knows how much just about any album has sold. Doggystyle is at about 6 million. Thats nothing to be ashamed of, 6 million is fucking incredible, especially for a rap album. But the album is not Diamond, lol.......

Oh, and for the record, DMX did NOT beat Snoop's first week sales. Check it:

Dude, I got the SoundScan figures sitting right here in front of me, and The Score and E.1999 Eternal have both outsold Doggystyle, at least here in the states. Im sorry, but there is no way Behind the Music is more reliable than Soundscan. Soundscan SPECIALIZES in tracking record sales. And these number are pretty new, less than a year old. It has nothing to do with Eternal being my fav album or not, its just the truth. Shit, I like E.1999 Eternal more than 2Pac Greatest Hits, but all admit Greatest Hits sold more. But E.1999 Eternal has sold more than Doggystyle. Sorry if that ruined your day, but its a fact.

Doggystyle is at 6 million, and the Score and E.1999 Eternal are at 7 million each. I dont matter though, cuz All Eyez On Me has outsold ALL of them anyway.
