I didn’t even check. The company I’m on is an independent label (Hawino Records). The numbers aren’t humongous but they will grow.There was an interview with the Lox (D block) a couple of months ago, and they were saying that the advantages of having an independent label is the higher percentage of the profit you get to keep from each album sale. they were saying when they were first signed they made such a little amount off each album like 80 cents or something in that region. also they were giving examples of people from the south making so much going through independent labels.though there are disadvanatges of independent labels like promotion, i think an independent label is the best suited for Warren G in the mean time, he has a lot more control , freedom and stuff, which i think he wanted because of his past experiences, Universal...
