The Game has rescently announced that he will no longer be doing any work on the Waistdeep soundtrack. Quote - "Is not being put together by "The Black Wallstreet Records" because they didn't wanna give us a million plus to make it a classic soundtrack !!! So myself or any BWS artist will not have any involvement what so ever in the creating or selling of the movie soundtrack. Just letting yall know before it comes out & your upset because I'm not on it. I told them if they didn't give us what we wanted to make this soundtrack happen I would not submit any music so instead they just threw some shit together, 1. "

lol, that kinda makes him look stupid, you know, not making any songs for a soundtrack for his own movie.

Yeah it does.1 million is too much for a low budget movie.

^Its a low budget movie???I'll never understand most hip-hop artists, these guys always ask for too much, they're rich anyways.I mean, what's the difference between like 700 000 & a million when you already have a few millions in your bank???

I'm pretty sure it's not a low-budget movie since Vondie Curtis Hall is directing it; plus it has actors such as Tyrese, Meagan Good & Larenz Tate. Sure, they're not on a level like Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, etc...but they're still 'above average' actors in terms of salaries I think...

Anyway, yeah, it makes Game look stupid in that sense that everybody will except to hear Game music on the OST since he stars in the movie himself.

he doesnt have a major role in the movie

more like eminem in the wash
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

i think they mean 1 mill budget, that's not enough for paying for production, guest features, and promotion.

a million dollars i smore thn enought to get the sndtrak done... he just doesnt want you to know that 50 blocked it from happening... "I just wanna let y'll know before you go buy it and I'm not on it"... no more like "i just want to let ya'll know before the truth comes out"

and to the other post most rappers are broke.. or living beyond their means... there maybe 6 rappers total that are "rich"... i'll givr you a few... Eminem, 50, Nelly, Jay-Z.  U dont get rich from rapping what u get rich from is the other ventures they create along with it... clothing deals, shoe deals, liquor/beverage deal, their own record label...

Em, Nelly & 50 all sold 10million on ONE disc before, that when u gettin money..

2million units... u can still be broke depending on how much u spent to make the record and how much they spent to market & promote you....

"Waist Deep" is produced by Ted Field who is a co-owner of Interscope Communications
and founded Interscope Records with Jimmy Iovine.
And no songs by Game on the soundtrack?
Interesting.  :)

Hmmm... correction. From what I see he's not with Interscope anymore, I'm not sure if he still owns any part of it.
