what's the difference between like 700 000 & a million when you already have a few millions in your bank???

More money you got more money you want, believe me.

he just doesnt want you to know that 50 blocked it from happening... "I just wanna let y'll know before you go buy it and I'm not on it"... no more like "i just want to let ya'll know before the truth comes out"

that thought crossed my mind

Game probably didn't get a million dollars for acting in the movie why the fuck would they give him that much to make the soundtrack

OK, Game is really acting like a little bitch right now.  Remember when he got his "Madden 06" song rejected, and claimed it was because 50 pulled strings to get Spider Loc on there instead?  He was lying; the reason it happened was EXACTLY the same reason as what's going on now - he didn't want to do his song the way EA wanted him to do it.

Much as I've thought of 50 as an arrogant muthafucka, Game is starting to sound just the same.  This cat's a big-time hypocrite.

Are you guys retarted. 1 Million to make any mainstream release isnt shit. For promotion, marketing, guest appearances, studio time, production, you guys really need to learn more about the industry before you make comments like this.

1 Dre beat alone would cost $100,000 (his friends n family rate, is $75,000), studio time, paying each artist who would appear on the album, engineers, mixing, mastering, i mean c'mon.

Now if this was an independent release, then by all means, Game is out of his fucking noodle. But if its going to be nationally distrubuted, they need to invest more than 1 million to make sales. BUT THAT IS, if they even care. If they are not willing to put money into the soundtrack, they are probably not expecting to make money off the soundtrack, or theres no $ left in the budget due to the costs of making the movie, etc.

Bottom line, all im saying is Game's request was by no means outlandish. Even that fucking Jackie Chan Movie Soundtrack Deathrow put out, costs more than 1 million to make/distribute. But i think he still should of submitted at least SOMETHING, regardless if his label couldnt make the soundtrack

The money wasn't to line Game's pockets. It was a budget for the album.

Yo Redemption if he asked for a million dollas that would be to record the project only!!!  Marketing & Promotional moneys would be allotted later homie... In todays music world... if you get a million dollars to record your album aside from your advance your a lucky mu'fucka those types of deals dont happen to new artists or for soundtracks anymore... what was the last bangin soundtrack u purchased???  Soundtracks & Compilations no longer sale

Yeah, a million is a lot for a recording budget...it's marketing/promotion that drives the budget up higher.  Besides, not everything on an OST is necesarily recorded just for that soundtrack...more often than not, soundtracks are filled with leftover songs that weren't good enough to make the artists' own albums, so in that case, the licensing fee is the only thing to worry about (and it's usually pretty low).

Game isn't 50, and he has to realize that if he wants BWS to be successful, he needs to take it apon himself. Game needs to get his head out of his ass and start promoting his ppl, and what better way then putting BWS on a soundtrack. If game misses this opportunity hes screwed. I bet 50 didn't even get a mill for doing his soundtrack. Take one for your team game and be a man.
