i was browsing different news archives from old websites and found hella newsbits on projects that never saw the light of day, or the reports were simply made up to create a buzz. its pretty funny reading old news from 4 or 5 years back, seeing how all these projects never came out, but pretty interesting nonetheless cause they could have turned up to be monster projects.

Expect to see Daz & 50 Cent together a lot more in the coming months. DPG Unit?? The first project from 50 and Daz will be a track featuring 2Pac. We will give you details on this track when it comes closer to completion. The track will make its debut on WHOO KID mixtapes. The next will be a diss song. 50 will take his usual shots at Murder Inc and others, while Daz will take shots at Benzino, Murder Inc, Death Row and possibly Jay-Z. This is only the beginning for these two collabo-wise. These songs are gonna shake the nation.

Ice T is currently working on his newest album "The Eight Wonder: The Ice Age" which will drop sometime in 2003 and will feature Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem & many more

Dr Dre is working on sountrack album on Aftermath called "Diablo". Guests include Kurupt, Knocturnal, Mz Roq,
Snoop, Dre, Eminem, Nate dogg and others.

Hittman has finally completed his debut album which will be released next summer
on Aftermath. A featured song on the album is Xxxplosive Part 2 by Hittman, Dre, Nate Dogg
and Kurupt, which sounds even better than Part 1 from 2001. Expect guest appearances
from the whole family. Dr. Dre, Mel-Man, Battlecat, DJ Quik and some more producers
laced the beatz on the album. His first single is supposed to come out in spring.

Fred Wreck is working on his album 'The Atoms' which will feature Snoop, Kurupt,
Daz, Xzibit, B-real & Dr Dre & come out through Snoop's DoggHouse Records.

called 'ImMACKulate' which will feature WC, Mack-10, Hittman, Squeak Ru, Mr Town, Techneic,
 madam Brown & more.

KAM has a new album coming this year titled Self and it is expected to be one of
the best albums to come out of the West Coast since Tupac's All Eyes On Me. The album
release, expected in stores across the country, will be followed by a nationwide tour.
KAM's overt sociopolitical stance, was a somewhat unique and rare style for a West Coast
Rap Artist, traditionally associated with more hard-core gangster lyrics. KAM returns
with a vengance still not afraid to challenge the world's social issues. This CD
promises to force the Hip-Hop community to step up to the plate, or bow out gracefully.

Big Tray Deee and Goldie Loc are currently recording their third group project,
tentatively entitled "Vice Versa". Assisted by their usual production squad
of Battlecat, Meech Wells, FredWrecc and Mel-Man, The Eastsidaz intend to make this another
"Hood Classic", with more street reality from the L.B.C., as well as the club bangers they have
laced the party scene with on their previous releases. A featured track on the album
is Crip-A-Fied. In other realated news, The Eastsidaz are presently in the studio with
west coast reputable "Mr. Short Khop", and his group "Problem Chyld", to release
a project from their (Eastsidaz) new label Vice Versa Records.

Jayo Felony will release his new album next Fall 2002 called Hog Tied. This
will album won't contain disses toward Snoop, Jay-Z and others.
It has tracks by Rockwilder and Meech Wells
In addition, Jayo Felony is planning to release his "Crip Hop" movie,
which next year will be the first release from his Loco Films. The straight-to-DVD-and-VHS
film documents the origins of the Crips gang, whose history Jayo said might surprise
people.

Warren G's next single from The Return Of The Regulator will be
Ghetto Village. He's set to release a remix of this song featuring Snoop Dogg and Nelly
which will be called My Ghetto Village.
According to Warren, the project was put together with a couple of phone calls. "I
reached out to Nelly and I told him I wanted to do a remix with him," Warren explains.
"He was cool with it. Snoop was just, 'Warren, I got your back. Let's do this.'"
According to Warren, Nelly is in the process of writing his verse, and when he's ready
a Universal rep will fly to St. Louis and record the track. "Then they'll bring everything
to me and Snoop will record his part," he adds. "It's all about helpin' each other out --
gotta show that unity." The remixed track will be released shortly after the album track
hits the radio airwaves.

Sylk E. Fyne is currently working on her new album. "The new album is called, "Sylk E.
Fyne: The Return Of Honey West". I have tracks by Battle Cat, Blaqtoven, Westside Bugs,
I gotta lotta in house production with my company Ray Johnson Productions. So, like I'm
sayin, I'm reaching out for Ludacris, Eve, alotta features and its really gonna be a great
album. You can expect that new joint "Cutie Pie" f/ Westside Bugs, Goldie Loc, Bad Azz,
Snoop. I got all the homies on the album, so you know it's going to be very big" Sylk said.
You can expect the new album to be in stores around August this year

Baby S is working on a new compilation titled "The Royal Blue". "Its a compilation of a
lot of my homeboys, Ms. Toi, a lot of featured artists on it, Kurupt, Bad Azz, Volume 10,
Don Twaune from the Blackground Camp, Roscoe. That's the new project, I produced all the
songs. I'm breakin' out, lettin' everyone hear the Baby S production on this one right here,
"The Royal Blue", Baby S said. That should be a dope follow-up to Baby S solo album "Street
Fractions". The compilation will drop this summer through Baby S own label Baby Blast, a
subistiary of Ruthless Records. Be on the look out for that.

King T's 5th album "yet untitled" is already being hailed as a classic and his best yet by those that have heard it. The new album is set to be released 2003 on Ruthless Records. Tracks like Twista Corna featuring WC, Blow Trees feat. LV, We Do It Eazy feat. Bone Thugs, and tracks with Xzibit, Tha Liks, Threat, Ms. Toi, a hot newcomer named Young Maylay and many more feature T's trademark sound, raw and ready to party. Dre also came out to support King T on this record, and he is scheduled to wrap up the album with a cut with him.
'Man, Me & X are too cool to have to be categorized as rappers & boss. Thats why I didn't go to Open Bar' Tee said. 'Production for the next album will be handled by Dr. Dre, E-Swift, Battlecat, Ric Rock, DJ Premier, among others. Right now we're looking at about late this year for the album. Guest appearences will include Tha Liks, Xzibit, Phil Da Agony, Knoc-Turn'Al, Ras Kass, Mos Def and whoever else I happen to run into down the line.'
King Tee says he is ready to get his thing back together after the big flop of his Thy Kingdom Come not actually being released. You can catch him in the movie "3 Strikes Part 2" making an appearence along side DJ Pooh, Mix Master Spade and Ice T, which will be out also late this year. Be on the lookout for a big soundtrack there!

Snoop performed at a concert in Phoenix along with Daz, Kokane, Eastsidaz, E White,
Fred Wreck, and the Doggystyle Family. Snoop & Daz performed a new song with production
from Fred Wreck and Daz. The song is itled In The Eye Of the Night with the beat
sampling the Inspector Gadget theme and Unsolved Mystery piano melodys. The hook
has the following lyrics:
"See me in the streets you cant we too deep, in the eye of the night we roll/
Catch you in the dark when familys a sleep, in the eye of the night we roll
every where i go this d.p.g.c. fuck suge knight and death row"

Daz was recording a song which didn’t make the 8 Mile soundtrack at Fredwreck's on Sunday. Its a solo cut.

Mc Ren is workin on a brand new album which will be called RenIncarnated, his follow up
to 1998's Ruthless For Life. In May Ren was in the early stages of puttin together the
tracks. He was trackin songs for the project, which he plans to complete and perfect
before shopping for a label deal. Ren said he's shooting for a 2003 release date.
Dj Yella is slated to produced tracks for the album. Other producers include E-A-Ski,
Rush and Rap Hustlerz. As far as guest rappers, Ren would only name one likely candidate,
which is WC. Ren doesnt want to have to much guests on the album, two or three at the
most.
Ren is also workin on a yet untitled independent film. The movie is about how people
with low incomes arepushed out of their homes so that condominiums can be built. Ren
will play a gangsta.

16 year old rapper Sin has secured appearances by Snoop Dogg, Layzie Bone, Bad Azz, Jayo
Felony, Tray Deee and Goldie Loc, RBX, Yukmouth, Rappin' 4-Tay and others on his debut
album titled Livin' In Sin which is tentatively scheduled for release in September via
Panther Productions.
Livin' In Sin will be the first project from the label targeting the teen rap market.
In addition to Sin, the label also boasts underage MCs MoFos, Bandits, Weapon X, and
Lost Panthers.

J-Ro of Tha Liks is now working on his solo album, due out in late 2003 with production
by Jon Wells and E-Swift. Featured artists are the Liks, Stlyz, Roscoe and Kurupt.

The Young Assassins are preparing their debut album in November 2003. The group was
handpicked by Kurupt himself and consists of him, Roscoe, Tri-Star, Bizzle and Young YG.

Tray Deee will release his debut solo album in April on S-Pop Entertainent.
"Its called "Kid Solo" to let them know I'm still hanging with the contemporaries in this game and I’m standing on my own two feet. I want people to gather an understanding of who Tray Deee is as a person." Tray said.
Tray will also showcase his new artists Bam, Big Rocc, Boretta, Iceberg, L.A. County and DJ Silk on the project as he schools them to the industry.
“I can’t overthrow the game but I can implement new tactics and show them how they supposed to treat folks in this business cause the game is real cut throat.”
Tray and Goldie Loc will also drop an Eastsidaz album next year, which Snoop will not be involved with. Tray added that TVT Records has the option to put out the next album but they were also in talks with Cash Money/Universal to release the project.

R&B sensation Tanya Herron will drop her album entitled "Pussykat" in a few months. So far,
its got features from Daz, Kurupt, Scarface, Snoop, a duet with Rick James, Chico and El
Debarge, Jay-Z and Method Man. There'll be a few guest appearances that are being kept under
the lid for now. I'll have some snips for ya to hear soon. Its gonna be the shit so look out.

LaToya Williams album on Doggystyle Records will be out the beginning of next year. Appart from Snoop, Soopafly & fellow Doggystyle roster, guests will be from Missy Elliot, Tweet, Puff Daddy and Neptunes are in the studio. For now cop 'Tell It Like It Is' the new single off the "Doggystyle Allstar" compilation.

RBX "RBX Files Vol. 2: It's About Time" feat Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Daz, Beanie Sigel, Xzibit, & more. Coming out in a few months.

Octavius Miller AKA Mr. Network, is working on a song dedicated to the West Coast, featuring and produced by the heavyweights out west. Expected guests include Too $hort, Mack 10, Tray Deee of Tha Eastsidaz, Celly Cel, CJ Mac, Black C of RBL Posse, Tay Da Tay of 11/5, Mr. Sandman, Sean T, Andre Nickatina and More.

Kurupt has just completed a "Kurupt Presents" compilation. Its called "Kurupt Presents.....A.W.O.L. - A World Of Loyalty". After that he is set to drop the DVD called "G-TV Pt. 2", which should come out in July. It will feature unseen footage from shows, studio sessions, bitches, Kurupt's every day life @ home. In other Kurupt news, he has just started a new label called "Kustapo Records" and has signed his new group called "Entourage".

Daz announced that he will release a new album under the group name "Tha Pound" which is Soopafly and Daz. They are puttin the final touches on the LP which will be called "Introduction to Mayhem". After that he will team up with Snoop Dogg to work on a collabo album called "Dope Dealers, Pimps, and Gangsta Crips" and then work on another Daz solo which is still untitled, which will have tracks with Bizzy Bone and Ice Cube. Daz also said that he recently signed Tha Twinz to his label and they will release their brand new album on Gangsta Advisory
According to DPG Recordz, the camp is planning to release another album, which will be a compilation joint between DPG Recordz, Doggystyle Records, and 4 Life Records. The album will be released later this year independently. Check out their website to hear audio of Daz & Snoop speaking on the album.

Suga Free & Shade Sheist recorded a song together. In other news, N.U.N.E. (Shade Sheist's protege) has begun recording tracks for his untitled debut full-length release under Bungalo Records. No official release date has been set yet. The producers who have already contributed to the album are: Dj Quik, Shade Sheist, Damizza, Bear, and Warren G. The standout tracks are: "Hey Baby," and "Line it Up" (feat. Shade Sheist). "The sound falls in line with the standard of the New WestCoast," says Shade Sheist. "Expect to go the club and get ya party on, smoke a whole lotta blunts, and smack a lotta ass. Be prepared."says N.U.N.E. Shade Sheist has also started work on his sophmore project, but refused to offer details on it. "Betta Watch," he says.

In other Baby Ree news, the follow up to 2001's "Damizza Presents: Where I Wanna Be" compilation entitled "Damizza Presents: No More Waiting - No More Hating" has a tentative release date of August 19. The project will include "Betta Watch: The DVD Movie" which showcases the recent short film taped on the set of the "Psycho" house and "Bates Motel." New music from Shade Sheist, Damizza, N.U.N.E., Knoc-Turn'Al, Dr. Stank, Butch Cassidy, Mariah Carey, and more.

Shade Sheist and Jayo Felony have laid down two new songs, and have agreed to record a full-length album together based on the result of their collaborations. Both tracks feature Baby Ree/L.A.Confidential artist Knoc-Turn'Al. The album (believe it or not) is nearing completion, already featuring tracks with Knoc-Turn'Al, Y.A., Kurupt, N.U.N.E., and Damizza.

Bad Azz hooked up with Tash, J-Ro, E-Swift, King Tee and Phil Da Agony the other day and they layed down some songs. Bad Azz rapped for King Tee's album (no info on that yet), and is hoping for Tee to do the same. He's getting Tha Liks and Phil Da Agony on his album, so look for some alkaholik flavor on there.Bad Azz has also been thinking about putting an unreleased Ras Kass verse he has on his album.

South Central native Gonzoe is set to drop his new album "No Ice" mid August on Fo Sho Records. The record features the likes of Knocturnal, Jayo Felony, Yukmouth and Kausion with production by Jellyroll and Kenny McCloud. The first single is I'm On Tilt, so if you like that, make sure to go out and support Gonzoe when his record drops!

Jayo Felony has just released his new single "Show Me Some Love" to left coast radio stations. The cut is produced by Damizza and is from his new album called The Trenches. The blue clad rapper has recently signed to Damizza's Baby Ree Records, and the label is looking for a major distribution deal for the album.
In other Jayo news: It rumored that the beef hungry MC has a couple cuts where he is bangin' on fellow San Diegan and up and coming rapper Mitchy Slick. You would think that these two cats could ride together, seeing that no one from San Diego has ever made major moves in the rap world, but it seems that neighborhood politics are dictating this one.

Dr. Stank & the management Sugar Ill have been dropped from MCA Records last week. This is due to cutbacks and the horrible financial state of the industry. Intercope Pres Jimmy Iovine had been running MCA since the 1st of the year and is merging some of MCA departments with Interscope, so he got rid of like 80% of the MCA roster. But the Dr. Stank album is finished and its entitled "The Oder". There is no release date but they are still pushing the lead single "Smell Me". They have labels already interested but until then they are just going to blanket the street's with the single on the Radio. In other news, Stank & the crew are working on a Sugar Ill mixtape for the streets called "Got E?" (E stand for Empire for those who didnt know). It will feature Stank, Sly Boggy, Dirty Birdy, Funcsta Func, Homeless Nation, ODM, and other hot new shit. Expect the mixtape in the Spring. Westcoast2k will keep you posted

Baby Ree Entertainment’s Damizza, Shade Sheist, N.U.N.E. and Knoc-Turn’Al are shooting the beginning scenes of the first ever all-West Coast Mix Tape/DVD/CD also starring Butch Cassidy, Warren G, Ice Cube, WC, Mack 10, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg and Mariah Carey among others. The inspiration for this Mix Tape/DVD is Baby Ree’s newly released mix tape, Damizza Presents…Baby Ree 2003 Mix Tape Volume 1 of 4. This venture is the latest in what some are calling, “The ‘Ree’-invention of west coast hip hop.”
The movie begins at Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho House, with Baby Ree producer Damizza, Knoc-Turn’Al, Shade Sheist and N.U.N.E. going to toe-to-toe with Butch Cassidy, Warren G and other legends of west coast hip hop. The first single from the upcoming Baby Ree Soundtrack "Betta Watch: The Movie Soundtrack" is called "Makes Me Wanna Fuck You" and features Shade Sheist, N.U.N.E. and Knoc-Turn'Al with production by Damizza. The official Soundtrack features more new music by Butch Cassidy, Warren G, Caz, The Westside Connection, Nate Dogg & Snoop Dogg among others.

Warren G's new single from his new album features Raphael Saadiq and should hit the radios soon. It's written by Knocturnal. His album and Nate Dogg’s album have been pushed back to make place for the 213 album “The Hardway”, which will be released first. Warren G will probably handle about half the 213 album himself. Guests on 213 will be the West Coast finest... and one should surprise people: Xzibit! Warren G will drop an EP on DPG/GA instead in August.

Look for the first Amir single “Lyrical Terrorism” to get spins soon. Damizza laced the beat and Shade Sheist & KnocTurnal are featured. So request “Lyrical Terrorism” on the radio when it's out! The second single will probably be the Fredwreck produced "Burnin' which stars Ju-L.

Tanya Herron (DPG Recordz Official), also  Mike Dean's partner has reported that herself and J-Prince will be dropping a "West Coast Mike Dean Compilation" in the near future featuring Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Roscoe, RBX, Crooked I, Eastwood, Kokane & Tupac Shakur. She has also reported that "Dolla Dolla Bill" the unreleased Nate Dogg, Daz & Roscoe song will be on it. If were lucky we might get Crooked I's "Crook In Me" too. The compilation is set to drop soon!

Dr Dre is working on sountrack album on Aftermath called "Diablo". Guests include Kurupt, Knocturnal, Mz Roq,
Snoop, Dre, Eminem, Nate dogg and others.

Dre did work on the film until the title changed to "A Man Apart" (the vin diesel one)....and then acted as an advisor due to the delay on the film he couldnt fit it into his schedule...

even I only 20% of that load is semi-tru there are some HEATED tracks lying around out there unused that must be BANGERS!!

if Tha Self still drops, i'm certain it will be a solid album. Only last yr Kam dropped I Don't Think So, which was probably one of the best tracks in 2005.
is he still workin on the album over @ Guerilla Funk?

anotha King T record would be hot too, what happened with the 3 tapes he was meant to drop? didn't E-Swift say he didn't think one would drop because it's compiled with older material, when Rud interviewed him in Leeds.

as the first single from the Soundtrack from Chris Rock's upcoming film.

Damn that's crazy, I had forgotten about a lot of those albums. I know we've heard a few of those songs leaked, but not too many of them. I bet only like 2 of those are still gonna come out, and watch em be A LOT different from what they were supposed to be.

Sum of this album made light of day, I got hold of an album called "Ruthless Chronicles" which features sum of the songs listed here like Twist A Croner and Blow Treez. Blow Treez is a bangin track!

Dope article btw!
I will believe Detox when I hear a single for it and have the album in my hands.
but what if you loose your hands before Detox drops?
