G-One plays the drums and helped quik out with some of his production in the safe + sound days and rythm-al-ism days.

He also helped on that toni tony tone track lets get down, and produced Home Alone for R Kelly which was a single.

I asked G-One about this a while back but he gave me a "No comment" and kinda laughed. I tried pushing for some more info but it was pretty clear he didn't want to talk about it.

Come on everybody knows that a producer is included in the writing credits...things are never clear though unless u know for a fact he wrote it. Sounds like classic Quik to me.

That's right, just like Robert Fonksta Bacon gave that special sound to Quik's Rhythm-al-ism...but if you think about it, all producers, however good they are, need that one person to make it sound bomb. U can see it with that All Eyez On Me, we wouldn't have had that sound without Quik mixing most of the tracks. As little as one may think it helped, it made a major difference. U gotta have your right hand man.

Only tracks G-One was a part of on Balance+Options were Quik's Groove V and the Divorce song. And he only co-produced The Divorce Song. Quiks production was excellent on there.

 @ Quik not being the same since G-One...

Quik has been more consistent than anyone else I've heard...

G-One was credited as co-producer on like 5 tracks, that's it...

I'm sure he "helped", that's probably a given, but who doesn't have "help" these days?
