Back in the Slim Shady LP days, when Dre's album was getting ready to come out.  www.dreday.com was the shit then.  They had all the hottest news, discusions, audio, everything.

Anyway.... There was an extreme amount hype about Dre's upcoming album at that time, to the point where some homies were getting dillusional.  Peeps started having dreams about the album.  They'd be like, "Yo I had a dream that Dre's album dropped, And it was the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And all the peeps would reply, "Wow tight, this album's going to be the bomb!!!!"

You just contradicted yourself. If 2001 was a classic, then why should some skits and songs on it have been cut? Classic albums dont have shit songs and skits, they are perfect from beginning to end.

2001 was a good album, but I dont think it was great, and it definitely was not a classic.

i kinda feel what u sayin, 2001 was a dope album, but to tell u the truth, over the last year ive been listening to dpg, and eternal 1999 alot more than 2001

its not that i dont feel dre's new style, i do! but if i got a whole album full of still dre, and the next episodes then it would be a classic, but we got shit like murder ink, bitch niggaz etc

i agree..dre2001 isn't no fucking classic......there were too many fillers not to mention the pointless skits....the only part that is classic is the first part of the album...upto forget about d.r.e. (well at least most of the first parts) and i can't stand listening to 2001 anymore...matter of fact i sold that shit so i can get cormega!!!!

if the skits were alright and not boring, 2001 could have been better. Its still one of the tighest cdz of all time
