thats what im sayin too, cuz what does jay z have specifically on lock in NY?

nas is the better lyricists
fat joe rolls the deepest
ja rule sells more
ghostface is more consistent

i dunno, i can see how  jay z is considered overall the best mc in NY, but he dont have that title on lock, you know what i mean, its not a no-contest, its highly disputed

I'll let you keep your opinions, I'm just saying I regard Jay-Z the king of New York, and no, Nas is not a better lyricist... even though "The Blueprint" was average lyrically... Jay got awesome skills.. check out basically any song on "Reasonable Doubt".... Ja Rule is pop and not respected amongst hardcore hip-hop heads like myself... no contender... Fat Joe may be the realest rapper in NY... but he is no contender for the crown... neither is Ghostface... have you ever heard someone proclaim Ghostface Killah or Fat Joe as the king(s) of NY?... platinum sales and huge publicity is vital... both of them lack those two...

This is just my opinion... feel free to comment... peace.

Actually Fat Joe had a cut on his last CD called "King of N.Y.".
But I agree with what you said, Nas haven't had a good album in years, and I don't even rank Stillmatic more than "good".
Ja Rule is a clown, and Ghostface might be good, but Method Man outshines him in almost every Wu-track.

I bet u guys didnt know u were dissin rakim, did u? You thought because Bow wow said it, that it was whack...and than you diss Snoops line, which isnt that bad, because John Wooden is the greatest college basketball coach ever who was known as "the wiz of the westwood"...

and whats so whack about "Like a virgin, I don't give a fuck" ...Sure its not great, but its not whack either...

"change your name to saran, cuz its a wrap"  thats whack, but something like "Like saran, thats a wrap" would be good for a closing line to a song...

the complete Rakim line makes sense, but Lil Bow Wow's rhyme comes out of nowhere he talks about the fans and then goes to Fish. That is why i called that shit wack
