Daz n Tha Row Beef Fake?! read this
« on: February 27, 2002, 12:56:05 PM »
ight i just wanna know what some people think about this cuz i had these questions for awhile now...

Daz and Suge Knight supposedly got beef and daz supposedly sayin fuck the row, but on the Dogg Pound 2002 you can find mad tracks that were also on RAW by daz, and daz said all 2002 got is old daz n kurupt tracks leftoever but for example a song like "feels good" which was the 1st single off RAW was on there in completely unedited form so how did Suge get this and if daz didnt want it on there then it why was it? also there were lyrics from tracks off Dilli and Gotti, how did they get on there????

also on the title track to RAW, titled RAW.  Kurupt shouts out to "Simon" sayin "yall lucky Simon aint home, thats my big homeboy" aight now i thought Simon was supposedly Suge, and since he sayin lucky he aint home makes u think even more its SUGE he shouting out, but then also supposedly they had been back then too, plus back then Dre was workin with kurupt and kurupt is shouting out suge? thats kinda sketchy... then supposedly Dre and Suge were supposed to give the openin speech at the hip hop convention the other week....

to me all this beef sound kinda like made up nonsense...

kurupt and daz saying they hate suge awhile back, but daz lettin Suge use his music and letting kurupt shout Suge out on one of the tracks on his album?

can anyone provide any answers to this?

Daz was the last one to leave Death Row too, so him and Suge are proably still cool.

i think so too........that all this is just advertisement.....so people can anticipate albums and boost up there sales.....just like 7th said......that jay z and nas krap is probably all b.s. so they can have all the attention to them....and keep the attention in the eastcoast.....bucuzz there beef was just lyrically.

just cause they say it's on wax don't meen they don't have a beef it just means they don't want nobody killed an shit, it's just a lyrical battle between to of new yorks top mc's they saw what happened to pac and biggie and there not stupid enough to let it happen to them

its because the stuff was recorded when daz was still  @ death row. he's basically bootlegged it all.

I think that may be the case
However from my understanding DPG Recordz only ever had a distribution deal with Death Row, meaning DPG Recordz was in fact a seperate label from Death Row but Death Row had the duty of distribution, perhaps with that deal it gave both record labels ownership of the masters

There's a lot of misconceptions about the dpg/row stuff goin' down.  Snoop, for 1, still recieves royalties off the row, i'm pretty sure.  He still pays Suge for his record sales, too.  Last Year, he was selling singles off of "dead man walking" on his radio website, so him and suge were selling the same songs.  There was a post on rollingstone last year about the Kurupt court case; and how Suge called Dre on dre's celly in the hallway just before his testimony.  Suge said last year in the source while in prison that Dr. Dre had came to visit him a few times, but snoop hadn't.  And don't everybody think it's funny how snoop didn't diss while Suge was in jail, then started dissing when he was about to get out?   It's half-fake, at least.   They've still got business deals together, at least, that's a fact.

so this shit is different then 2pac and Biggie, because in 2pac and Biggie's case it was personal shit, now Daz is trying to make it personal sayin that Suge fucked his wife which i find hard to believe.  I think it's just a case of industry domination cause it seems to me like they tryin to split the west coast in half with the Death Row supporters and the DPG supporters, but it ain't East vs. West no more thats for sure.
