3 years ago Cissé was one of the most exiting strikers in the world. he was just a spectacul player to watch and he scored from angles that you thought was impossible. and the french league´s not a bad league at all but when he went to Liverpool he became a boring player and he didn´t seem as happy as he did in Auxerre. but the social bit plays a huge part in how well you perform on the pitch and maybe he just don´t enjoy life in Liverpool. and Detox did France actually qualify for the world cup ???

Cisse has all the elements to be a great striker, strong, powerful and quick but he doesnt get his head up when he has possesion and when he shoots he seems to just hit and hope.

"My greatest challenge is not what's happening at the moment, my greatest challenge was knocking Liverpool right off their fucking perch. And you can print that." Alex Ferguson

I really hope not, hes quick but thats about it, his first touch is often useless, shooting is arratic, and he never seems aware of when his teamates are in space. Definitely not the sort of player I'd like to see at the Lane.

Cisse needs the right mentor to get the best out of him, if he's to become the striker he was tipped to be.

Spurs? Nah.. I can't see it. I'm pretty sure Jol will have his sights get on Dirk Kuyt this summer.

Why the fuck would you sell one of Keane/Defoe to accomodate Cisse? It would be madness.

Well she moved in ways
That kept her there in our minds for days
Weeks and months it was
I was that amazed and there she stays
Surrounded by the what-ifs and the maybes

I like Cisse.

Not watching Premier League ey ?
Cisse got no vision, no eye for the game, no technique, his workrate isn't the best, and he often turns "sour" if things doesn't go his way... which it usually doesn't.
His 2 only forces: pace and strength, but due to his weak first touch, his speed usually isn't worth much.

Jol: No interest in Cisse

Tottenham manager Martin Jol has unequivocally denied any interest in signing Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse.

The Frenchman's agent claimed this week that Spurs made a bid to sign his client during January's transfer window.

"On January 31, at 3pm, they contacted us," Ranko Stoijic told France Football. "We didn't want it a few hours before the end of the winter transfer window."

However, Jol has stressed that he is not keen on landing the former Auxerre attacker when the window reopens at the end of the season.

"No," he told Sky Sports News, when asked if he was interested in the player.

"Not at all."

However, Jol did intimate that Cisse's name may have cropped up during January's discussions.

"I can be honest about it," he explained. "Everybody knows we were looking to get someone in on loan last January.

"Of course, all the names were there - we have lists. Somebody will have mentioned him. But nothing came of all the other players on the list and I made a decision we would be fine with Mido, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe.

"It has turned out to be fine.

"As for Cisse next season - there is no truth in it."

Cisse has scored in consecutive games for Liverpool after breaking his duck for 2006 in the weekend win at Newcastle United.
