I'm probably guilty of defending snoop too much, but I can't lie and say I think he is anywhere close to what he sounded like in 92-95. I think the biggest problem is that snoop is growing up. That same shit he was poppin off back then, isn't important to him anymore. I think he has done well with what he has to rhyme about now. Just not as interesting stuff as back then.

The only problem I have with Snoop now is his flow. Fuck. His flow ain't impressing me no more. His lyrics are nice but I have a problem with him making these songs like "Loosen Control" just to compete with all this other commercial shit. The song was nice but that ain't him. That was just like Mobb Deep making "Hey Luv". Nas changed his whole shit because Nastradamus was the laughing stock of Hip Hop and he only went gold with that, I think? But he done saw what he was doing wrong and dropped a classic. Snoop still goes double platinum each time so he ain't really worried about losing fans which will affect his music.
