I'm going to Oxford later on this month...anything worth checking out?

I'm going to Oxford on April 24th until April 28th with my class. Most of the time we'll have to attend lessons at the Lake School (supposedly a school with a good reputation) or we'll have guided tours in Oxford. However, on Wednesday afternoon & Friday morning we're free, so I was wondering if there's anything worth checking out in Oxford? Also, every evening we can do anything we want. So feel free to give some tips: good music stores, clothing stores, clubs, pubs, etc...?

I've already searched the Net and there's a Virgin Megastore in Oxford so I'll contribute to England's economy during that moment

Virgin = expensive. look for a martian records.

^^^^Really? The Virgin Megastore in Paris is not that expensive (around 15-16 euros for an album - if it's not an import release). But yeah, it's still too expensive so if I could find less expensive shops it would be nice.

HMV might be worth a look..

it all depends how big the stores are.. bigger stores carry more lines.. etc etc...

shame theres no martian.. i thought they were bigger than that.. as i've come across the ones in my town (taunton) and cheltenham (opticals former town..) and exeter..  lol..

Go out on the piss, oxford is great on the lash!  Loads of asian birds there. and uni students. just hit the local weatherspoons or yates's

Bars. But there are some good clubs in oxford...check out cheeks. or stickies. Their cheesy clubes but it's where all the hot students go. Oxford is in my top 5  places to go on a night out.

What kind of music do they play in those clubs? (then again, if the women look good, I could give a flying fuck about the music, lol). And are those clubs open during the week, or just in the weekend? I'm only going from Monday 'till Friday...
