First of all, God bless you all and congratulations and keep up the positive growth. I’m too near ya’, not to feel ya! When I first laid eyes on the front cover of your anniversary issue (with my god brother 2Pac on the cover) it brought tears to my eyes. Then I started to reminisce on when I first met 2Pac, back in the late 1980’s. At the time, I was tapped in with my folks Too Short and The Dangerous Crew, with Spice One as my label mate. There was a club on Broadway Street in San Francisco called “The Stone.”

Someone had put together a concert with Black “C” and Mr. “Cee” (RIP) Cougnut, Richie Rich, The GLP, and 2Pac. Me and my lil’ bro OCO were headliners at the time, and the whole damn Yey was on a rise, on our way to the top!! Check this out!!

When me and OCO arrived at “The Stone” ready to turn that mutha out, to our surprise, Richie Rich and 2Pac were about to get jumped, so we put a swift stop to that, and made sure the loved ones made it outta the ‘Sco safely, which made a beautiful intro to a lifetime, brotherly bond between the four of us. I remind you all that this is the love that’s missing right now, today in our communities, as well as all over the world!

Allow me to share something deep within like The Beat Within…

2Pac,was by far, one of the smartest people, as well as artist, actor, writer, composer, producer… That I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life (and I’ve met a lot of people throughout my 36 years of life thus far).

Knowledge is key and it’s important that I stress that! I’m currently in the Ghetto University just like you right now, putting a master plan together, focused on the up and coming because “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Think about that, and if you’ve taken a fall in life, you better get back up and keep swinging until you hit a homerun: Like them SF Giants.
