Why does Alchemist produce for eastcoast hip hop when he is from the west?

It ain't Alchemist's fault that too many West Coast rappers refuse to move past the G-Funk era, and that he's WAY the fuck ahead of them in that respect.  Besides, nobody can deny that Alchemist's beats and Mobb Deep go together really well.

LMAO @ Sampling for the lose. So you're saying: Dre, Quik, Muggs, DJ Khalil, RZA, etc. are weak? Cuz they all sample heavy.

Alchemist got his start with Cypress Hill, but moved to NY and started working out there with cats like Mobb Deep. The love he got was crazy, so he just stayed out there. He always worked with cats like Dilated, Cypress and the such, but it wasn't until recently the WEST opened their arms to him. His beats were too Hip Hop for most of these "gangstas" in the West.

LOL @ Ras for dissing ANYONE for being on the East. Rassy used to live in New York himself. He works heavy with a lot of East Coast cats. Hell, he probably gets more love out there than he does here.

C'Mon... Ras went at ALC knowingly he wouldn't respond. I mean, yea, he raps, but his focus is too produce. So, by default he "destroyed" him. But, at the end of the day, Ras is cool with Alchemist now.

i dont understand why there is hate going towards him for working with east coast artists. like sgv said, hes done tracks with cypress, dilated, soul assassins, defari, snoop and others as well.. and why confine yourself to one region? thats just limiting your potential and talent. why just cater to one set of audience?

Ras just got pissed at him cos of the beat situation, which seemed to be a clear misunderstanding. You think someone like alchemist would have to do something like that just to make a little extra money. This guy has produced for damn near everyone. I really doubt Alchemist was placing a few thousand dollars in front of his business credibility.

Ras only said that verse out of spite as well. Shit, Ras never felt that way originally. Obviously, Ras felt that Alchemist beats were ill, he wanted a few on his album.. but just taking it too personal cos it was an east coast artist that eventually took it. What if another west coast artist had taken it instead of jadakiss. There goes Ras' whole statement... he'd be pissed at anyone who had the beat, regardless what coast it was on.
