I'm so behind on west coast music it ain't even funny

I need some real good west coast songs...Last time I heard something good was in the early 90s ....I don't stay awake with new shit...I need some requests..I'm behind like a mutherfucker

Well, pretty much the only two rappers on the West Coast who have done anything worth a shit since the 90s' are both pictured in your profile, so I assume you must be pretty familiar with them.

Otherwise, it's just a lotta washed-up gangsta veterans trying to convince the world they're still relevent (like they're still Crippin' at age 40), mixed with some backpackers and alternative rappers who are never gonna get touched by the majors in a million years.  In that respect, I'd say you're pretty much caught up.  Welcome to the West.

I listened to Eazy and X so much I think I know they whole catalogue by heart....Then its just NWA, King T, Ice T, Snoop, Dre etc etc and every once in a while I try with the newer cats The Game, Lil Eazy, Lil Rob...lol thanx for the overview

Well then, you might wanna check out Tha Dogg Pound, DJ Quik, Warren G, Westside Connection, maybe Above The Law as well.  That would pretty much catch you up on the 90s'.  After that, not a whole lot of newer artists that are any good, except maybe Jayo Felony.

Yeah, it was excellent, though unlike some cats, I wouldn't quite call it a "classic".

"Rhythm-Al-Ism" is a good place to start, after that, anything goes, but like the dudes below me said, any of Quik's shit is worth owning.

Yeah for a while I slept on QUIK and that was a huge mistake, dude is as talented as anyone in the game, check out everything he has ever done
