PWTorch.com Newsletter reports that Shawn Michaels has given off a vibe of enthusiasm backstage since assuming a prominent, singles role heading into WrestleMania.

Michaels was reportedly very happy with how his match against Rated-RKO went and feels that the next few months give him a chance to prove the persistent existence of his drawing power to Vince McMahon (and possibly Triple H).

Of course, Michaels is still not a lock for the WrestleMania main-event, largely because the SmackDown! brand is already expected to offer a face vs. face main-event in Batista vs. Undertaker. Both Randy Orton and Edge are also under consideration as opponents for John Cena.

But a 19 year WM undefeated streak vs. the current champ. That's pretty impressive.

Nah that would be nonsense in my opinion cause a Batista/UT match would have absolutely no historical value (besides Takers 1st, and probably only WM loss)

I think that if they´d fight a regular match at WM (might as well turn into a crappy 3 way threat with Kennedy) then UT will win, giving him his last title run and then maybe a year later lose it at the next WM. Now I know that it sounds unrealistic for Taker to be champ for a full year because he´d have to defend it regularly (and nowadays he´s not competing on a regular basis) but I don´t see any sense in making Batista getting the win over Taker at this WM. I mean, Batista is established and already champ, why should they end Takers streak for him? It wouldn´t do Batista anything good and just harm Taker. I say they give him the title, get him into a program with whatever wrestler (maybe chaning titles back and forth) then get Taker as champ into WM 24 in another of those fancy unification/champ vs champ  matches and call it a career. All theory though. We´ll see how it turns out.

I personally think that Shelton would be a great challenger to end the 'Taker's streak, but I've heard that Batista is the man Vince wants, so who knows.
