Vince rarely pushes anyone to main event level if they use their gimmick outside of the WWE. For example, look at Booker. He had to because some kind of bisexual with a english accent just to get a title reign. So unless CM Punk starts to exploit a stereotype or uses a grip of steroids, he'll forever work in the midcard.The only person that probably got a title reign without using a new WWE gimmick was Oldberg and RVD. We saw how quickly those reigns were too.
