****SPOILER ALERT****

CM Punk is the new ECW champ. Since John Morrison was one of the suspended names, he had to drop the title at the ECW TV taping tonight.

Umaga will also face Jeff Hardy on Raw and is likely to drop his title.

Jeff Hardy is one of the few wrestlers i still enjoy watching. I hope he wins the title.
They should give a push to Shelton Benjamin tho. He's another wrestler who can wrestle. lol.
I'm tired of Khali, Cena, HHH.... they need to refresh it a little bit.

Hardcore Holly's active wrestling career might be done as he is having continuous problem in his arm despite the surgeries he's had for the nerve damage.

also on a nother note, Cryme Tyme has been RELEASED:

WWE has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstars Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and Jayson Paul) as of September 2. We wish them both the best in all future endeavors.

http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/crymetymereleased

i find that surprising, i liked the gimmick and the fans also loved it; bunch of crap, I swear

WTF??? Are you kidding me? They were completely over with the crowd. Right when they were getting their push to the tag titles too. They either violated the policy or did something really messed up.

"Eugene was in attendance for the meeting, which was held before ECW/SmackDown tapings last night. He was notified of his release shortly after the meeting and is said to have been escorted from the building."

"Cryme Tyme was involved in an incident with Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch at the house show yesterday in Terre Haute, Indiana. Details of the incident have not come to light yet. By all accounts this has nothing to do with any drug related issues. Because only Cryme Tyme was released it is easy to speculate that they were at fault or the cause of what ever the incident was that took place. More info to come soon..."

McMahon is laying the smack down this week.

Likely not due to Wellness Policy...

As reported earlier, WWE has released Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG). It doesn't appear as if they were released due to anything relating to the WWE Wellness Policy.

The team was involved in an incident at the RAW house show in Terra Haute, Indiana. During their match with Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, the finish saw a strange countout even though JTG was back in the ring. After the match, Cryme Tyme attacked the ref and removed his belt, then pretending to auction it off to the audience. Something relating to this finish did not sit well with WWE management and the team had a lot of heat on them today at the RAW taping prior to being released.

DOUBLE POST! :D

Details From Backstage WWE Meeting: Batista Speaks, Stephanie Says More Have Been Suspended, Triple H Gives Speech
Posted by Ashish on 09.02.2007

New details from backstage...

A meeting was held with talent at the Smackdown/ECW taping yesterday afternoon. Details are below.

- Stephanie McMahon said 13 wrestlers have been suspended for buying drugs from online pharmacies and two others have been suspended for drug screening failures. WWE has only confirmed 11 suspensions publicly. This means that either Stephanie said the wrong number or four others have been suspended. That means a total of 15 wrestlers could be suspended, plus the firing of Mike Bucci.

- Stephanie also told the wrestlers that Vince McMahon was looking forward to the upcoming Congressional hearings on pro-wrestling, saying that he was thinking of wearing a clown wig and shoes to make a point about the entire process.

- Batista spoke up at the meeting, saying the reports that named him as a customer of Signature Pharmacy were false and that he has never received anything from online pharmacies. He asked Stephanie what he could do legally about that and she told him that he needs to discuss that with his personal attorneys. Batista was apparently very upset about his name being in the reports, standing by his statement that he has never purchased drugs from online pharmacies.

- At the end of the meeting, Triple H gave a speech to try and raise morale. He told the wrestlers that they may feel like they are in a horrible business right now, but to remember that they have the greatest job in the world and a job they have all dreamed of doing. He said he was proud to be a pro-wrestler and that it is important that all the boys stick together and work through this tough time for the pro-wrestling industry.

PWTorch.com reports that the Cryme Tyme release stemmed from actions the tag team performed following their Terre Haute house show match against Cade and Murdoch.

According to the Torch report, the two teams had reportedly been developing heat with each other over the course of the past few weeks. That built into an incident prior to the match, in which Shad Gaspard told Lance Cade that "what happens in the ring happens," essentially implying that there might be some stiff shots exchanged. Cade mocked Gaspard's threat in front of a number of wrestlers backstage.

In order to get back at Cryme Tyme for what they perceived as a threat, Cade and Murdoch met with the referee and arranged a rib. Essentially, the plan was to "fast count" while JTG was out of the ring, resulting in a count out loss for Cryme Tyme; Cryme Tyme was unaware of this plan until it was executed in front of the live audience.

In what sources say was a move to save face, Cryme Tyme then decided, without telling the referee, to execute their finishing move on him (they reportedly did so safely, but it was still unexpected). They also tossed his belt into the crowd.

Words were exchanged in the backstage area following the segment, and WWE management eventually made the call to release Cryme Tyme, who were reportedly on thin ice with management anyway due to what some backstage perceived as an attitude problem. The tag team was reportedly unhappy and surprised with WWE's decision.

The increased scrutiny on WWE stemming from the Benoit tragedy, the Congressional investigation and the recent steroid controversy has resulted in a zero-tolerance policy backstage.

Well if anyone was to get released it should be Cade & Murdoch. They started it & fuck doing a fake finish move on the ref, I'd beat the hell out of him. Same goes for Cade & Murdoch. I really hope TNA signs these guys.
