another reason why he might have gotten released is that he apparently almost cause Orton to re-injure his shoulder performing some type of maneuver, which can be seen here:

That's funny because when Kennedy did that move and Orton just got up and started punching the canvas, most people were in the Staples Center laughing, and a couple people next to me thought that Kennedy may have fucked up Orton's shoulder again.

That explains everything now.
