Is Proof's "Kurt Kobain" going to become a classic now?
« on: April 18, 2006, 12:40:55 PM »
That song went from being a decent track to being a 2pac-like prophecy.  People are going to be playing it every time they want to commemorate Proof.  The song is touching, it shows a sensitive side of Proof that is a remarkable change from the usual posturing or playfull style you find on most his records.  It's the same song, but now it sounds even better.

By the way, didn't Proof say something in one of his songs about "I'll be the next dead rapper and then I'll be famous".   Ya'll remember anything similar to that?
Givin' respect to 2pac September 7th-13th The Day Hip-Hop Died

I loved that song even before he died. That sample is fuckin' piff. Atmosphere used it on a track.

great song. forgive me, and 72nd & central have similar vibes to kurt kobain too. whole album is great. best song on there is high rollers (even though kurt kobain and those others was all deep and shit). biboa's theme is dope too.

Yeah I only like this one and "Sammy Da Bull". Besides that I didn't really like his CD.
