Thoughts on 3rd Bass?

Anyone here old enough to remember these guys?
I just replaced my cassette copy of
Derelicts of Dialect
with a CD copy for £3.99, so thought it was time to put it in rotation - the last time I listened to the album was when I was about 13 years old.
What struck me the most was that Pete Nice (far right) is a
horrible
MC. Maybe I was just too young to get it at the time, but the guy's flow was so bad. So, so bad. It keeps sounding like he wrote something that
looked
like it rhymed on the page but he just couldn't get the emphasis right when it came to getting on the mic. Terrible.
Serch, on the other hand, was fucking dope. Hearing him on these tracks made me want to go back to the solo album he put out ater they split, but my vinyl copy is scratched beyond repair. And Richie Rich's cutting is top-notch. If Serch and Rich had stayed together during the split, an album with them would have been the shit IMO.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

I'd say Serch & Everlast are definatly the top two greatest white rappers ever.

Serch was dope. You gotta give the guy credit - he basically put Nas in the game.

I used to bump 3rd Bass back in 4th grade and 6th grade. I saw the video for "Gas Face" on The Box and got the tape. Brooklyn Queens was tight. I use to bump Derilicts too. Thought the title track was the best on the CD. Serch's solo was a solid LP too.

I love 3rd Bass still to this day. Pete Nice, I thought ,was better on the mic than Serch. I just bought Pete Nice and Daddy Rich's album, and I loved it. I need the Cactus Remixes album. They did a song called Gladiator that was released on single only, toward the end of thier career, it is extremely dope. I found it on Kazaa.

I remember that track they had with Nas. Back then he was called Nasty Nas. I think that track was called "Back to the Grill".
