that "article" lost all credibility when it didn't mention Hittman... it's pretty obvious Hitt was gonna be the next Snoop...

I'm not counting on Detox to ever be released.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

Ok we know that Bishop Lamont will fill Snoop Dogg and Eminem's shoes as Dre 3rd and final "main appreantice" when DETOX comes out. Bishop's album will be to DETOX what Snoop's "Doggystyle" was to "The Chronic" and what "The Marshall Mathers LP" was to "Chronic 2001".
you said third and final main apprentice so what bout game , knocturnal , daz , kurupt , nate & warren g they all are dre's proteges and have gone on to become stars in there own rights and plus theres the new guy G.A.G.E so i dont think dre is done wid making new stars

Rebel, you think alot like I do (In a good way, lol).  Here's the problem though that I've come to terms with a little bit.

We (You, I, others) look for patterns to make sense of things.  Somewhere in your head you might see Dre as this fuckin' awesome producer who keeps releasing great albums (well, 2 so far).  We all imagine that his new one will be awesome as well.  So you analyze things and try to find sense in it, why is Dre so good, why is his career so top notch, what formula is he following, where's the pattern?

You did come up with a nice pattern, that's the type of shit I would notice and think up myself too.  The problem with you (and me) is that these patterns are bullshit.  Your pattern holds up, but it's because you made it hold up.  You ignored the other shit, like for instance, while it's true Eminem was all over 2001, Hittman was even more so over the album, wasn't he, and his career ended up as shit.  So you convienantly ignored what didn't fit your pattern, even though Hitt was clearly Dre's apprentice at the time.

Ultimately, the Bishop Lamont thing might happen, but then again it might not, too.  Since Dre's only released 2 albums, and it happened only twice, with Snoop and then Em, it might still just be a coincidence and not a pattern.

So what I'm getting at is, yeah it's cool to see shit like this and wonder and talk about it, but ultimately we're just bullshittin'.

Peace~

Uh... some of yall didn't get it. Anyway, what does Hittman have to show? The guy never put out an album, lol. Songs like "What's The Differrence" and "Forgot About Dre" are bigger than the ones with Hittman. Everybody listening to Hip Hop back in that era knows it was all about Dre-N-Em... NOT Dre and Hittman.

You've gotta include Game into your equation as well. And whether you guys like it or not, expect 50 to be on there somewhere.

Ture. Although 50 Cent is more a product of Eminem the Dr. Dre.

see what?  ::)

Snoop was all over The Chronic ... then dropped Doggystyle.

Eminem was on what, 2 tracks on Chronic 2001??

... and Eminem was already huge after the Slim Shady LP.

Your thread doesnt make sense.

Regardless of how you look at it...Hittman was definitely supposed to be to 2001 what Snoop was to the Chronic, but not to the same extent. Dre used Chronic to introduce the world to Snoop, who was basically a brand new rapper at the time, and he put his album out afterwards. Yeah Em was a big factor on 2001 and that helped build his hype for the 2nd album, but the fact is Dre put him out before the album, so the world already knew who he was.
