"I got too big for them. Anytime you’ve got an artist that’s bigger than the label that’s bad business.
I had to get on a label that could handle the capacity of Snoop Dogg. I needed a label that could understand what they got instead of just being happy with a double platinum album. I needed someone who would be willing to take the album over the hill. I wanna go four or five million.
I think I get the room to breath with MCA. The room to breath is the room to create and that's when you're really getting the best Snoop Dogg. I have more fun when I get to work with whoever I want to work with and I have the budget to create good movies and good videos. This is the type of atmosphere that was missing because I was working with crumbs and working with a crumby ass label."  ;)

"Snoop (talking to Bad Azz) : See how Priority did their thing [promoting] this album right here [singling out an NWA album on a plaque of the label's groundbreaking albums hanging on the wall], man? They came out doin' this kinda shit: NWA, Geto Boys …

Bad Azz: Well, they fucked my first record up! If they woulda did that to Tha Last Meal,  I was really gon' kill somebody!

Snoop: Well, don't feel bad. They fucked Top Dogg  off. Remember, "Bitch Please" was the song that brought the West Coast back. They managed to fuck that album up! But we gon' leave it alone. We on another record right now. "

...yesterday i've sent an email to mcarecords about the "Snoop dogg situation"...and they told me that a snoop dogg album is scheduled to fall 2002 under mca records.
I 've asked them about the "priority album" but they're tight lipped about it... "Snoop is under Mca Records now,so...his new album will be out on our label".

::)

"What does the name "Tha Last Meal" mean to you?

Snoop: The last time these motherf***ers are going to eat of me. It's not negative in any way, it's just said like that because I appreciate everything that was done for me as an artist in this music industry, but a lot of this sh** I did and I didn't make nearly as much as the companies made off of me. So it's like the last time ya going to eat off of me, because now I'm going to become a company and see what it feel like to eat off of Snoop Dogg."

"Would you ever make a comeback like Steven Tyler?

Snoop: Who? If my fans want me. Hopefully, if I can create that kind of dynasty where I have 30 years of great music, people wil be down wit it. That's how players do. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I got to get a damn first down, cuz Randy [Moss] ain't doing nothing. "
