Author Topic: Daz needs to record a clean version of "Real Shit" if he wants to sell  (Read 344 times)

I just got the CDS of Daz's new song, and they didn't record a clean version of the track. In my opinion this is a HUGE mistake. This track is one of my favorites of 2006, but the current clean version just isn’t cutting it. The track has the potential to be a big hit, but in its current (clean) form, it’s hard to follow, and just sounds bad. Whole lines are gone and it doesn’t flow well at all. I think Daz and JD should spend the time to go back in the studio, re-record the two verses and make the track more radio friendly. This small amount of work would pay off in the end. Anybody else agree?

Agreed, all they did for the clean version was silence the bad parts.

I wasn't actually minding the "On some real...(on some real)" way they censored the chorus, but I agree about it being stupid when they simply silence the swearing instead of re-recording specific lines...that should definitely be changed!

You think it sounds better when half of the words are silenced?

Death Row use to do a lot of alternate lyrics clean version songs. That's what made the songs listenable on the radio.

I think you missed the point. I love the song. It's got the potential to do huge things In my opinion, BUT it's being held back by the editing. I know for a fact Daz can make it sound good with clever rewording.

  • If it don't make dollaz, it don't make sense.
The clean version sounds dope but a "radio edit" would be off tha hook to release too...

The track is gonna be hot, but I see what you are saying.  If a clean version was on the radio (new lyrics) it would blow up!

Lets see if this street team shit works both ways?

You should try and get the word around!
