i tought this was a good topic n i wanna know how u feel bout this (this was posted by J@BBaJaW a DPGC-2g member)



Question..do the West Coast artist's useEastCoast type beats on thier songs? NO!!!..this nigga tried to tell me we use all East Coast beats out here....fffuuuuukkkkk nnnooo!!!...they come to us for beats or they bite our shit...juss look at "Change the Game" by Jay-Z....what kind of vibe does that beat have? WEST COAST!!!...Beanie & Free "Roc The Mic" WEST COAST BEAT!!! a gang of Ja Rule's shit...hell even the South want some West Coast juss look at Masta P. hes a "WEst Coast Bad Boy" now hahahaha...so what ya'll think...So i ask yall..does the West Coast use East Coast beats?..or does the East Coast use West Coast beats?....

Seeing that I'm not from the States, I think I'm in a good position to judge this. It's simply like this: Eastcoast uses Westcoast-beats. Bottom line. South: inspired by Westcoast-beats, but with a twist. West is the king of beats, even though the east has followed, West was the true originator of first-class beats, when east had the simple "old-school Swizz Beatz"-feel to it's beats.

the eastcoast doesn t use westcoast beats...

some commercial rappers try to imitate their style but that ain t even eastcoast rap , thats pop rap or  r&b rap ...

look at some shit from until the end of time , there are some eastcoast inspired beats on there too just to sell more copies.
