Open your heart a little. I'm not trying to belittle Jay-Z, despite what some people say he is GREAT, (a little too self centered for me to label him at 2Pac or Nas status, but still great), but Beanie is just starting out. His first mainstream appearance I believe was on Puffy's Forever, that was only what like 3 years ago, and it took a while for people to accept him but they did. He has what it takes too pass Jay-Z's status, but so did a lot of others that never made. He might, only time will tell if he does.

P.S. I remember a young kid who used to appear on Digital Undergound songs, people liked him but his first two albums were not exactly critically acclaimed (eventhough I always liked him), his name was Tupac.

Open Your Heart.

lol...i liked how you compared him to pac...real cute....tho irellevant homie...we all know pac had a tellant....it ain"t a question of apearing on shit...or tha critical aclaim...you know man....
both lyriclly and vocally beanie iz an imitation of jigga...he ain"t close to be on hiz level...but that"z what he iz trying to do....vocally beanie iz bareable....and as i said i"m coo wit him collaborating wit jigga on hiz shit....and hiz apreance on FAMILIAz "where have you been" iz hiz best work imo...but hey you wanna wait for him to come around, you feel him...dat"z coo wit me man...everyone haz hiz own taste...i"m just saying that imo beanie lackz both JIGGAz mad flow and hiz lyrical skillz....and what you said bout  jigga braggin, man...iz as irelevant as comparing beanz to pac.
...cauze JIGGA not only haz tha braggin rightz...he iz far above anythang he might mention on a track....he iz far superior to NAS....(you can read my post on tha "stillmatic" thread bout nas...ain"t got tha time to get into it right now)...
and of course he ain"t on par wit PAC.....PAC iz tha g.o.a.t...and a very diffrend artist....
but back to beanie....for him to become on par wit one of tha greatest rapperz ever....he needz to study many mo dictionaries...and get some charisma....lol lol...

Beans is not imitating Jigga.  Look at all of Jigga's raps, they're focused on hustling, girls, giving out positive vibes, or battle rapping.  Beans is all about the ghetto, guns, crime, slanging drugs on the corner, the horror of jail, etc.

Yeah. In addition, they're all wack. His lyrical decline since Reasonable Doubt is immense.

Yo, I To Da Geezy
I think have something confused. I mentioned Jigga's self centered attitude, as a reason why he is not on the level that other rappers are on. I too believe Pac is the greatest but not because, Hit Em Up, or California Love, or even Ambitionz az a Ridah. It's beacause of Dear Mama, Keep Ya Head Up, Letter to the preesident, and Part time mutha. These songs proved his versitility and that he could make classic songs that were not neccessarily cool to the public, but he made them cool. Jigga fails to do so. Instead of trying to explore new subject matter, he sticks to the old reliable way to sell records, and that only takes you so far. Listen to every Snoop, Big, and Al Green song, then listen to BluePrint, and tell me how innovative Jay is. His cliches are mostly stolen.
As for beanie being a copy of him. how ya figure. Beanie does not even remotely sound like Jay. The only thing wrong with him is he over does the kitchen metaphors. As for the comparison to Pac, I was just trying to say that you never know who is going to make it, he is nowhere Pac status, but could easily become Jay-Z status.

So remember Geezy to always

Yo Geezy
Please explain to me what innovative "concepts" that ever come out of Jay-Z. I do agree that the concepts are the most important part parts of hip hop, but Jay doesn't have it, and just because Nas was called the next Rakim, does not mean he stole his style, bith are very good but do have there unique sound and concepts. How many songs like "What Goes Around" or "New World" does Rakim have?

man...i wouldn"t go wit this trackz as examples of NASz superiority...but you aksed me bout concept and i"ll reply...
first of all ...you gotta understand that when i say concept it ain"t neceserlly some social commantary or some topic formally known as serious and thought provoking....when i say concept....i mean tha way tha rapper deliverz hiz shit...
what peepz who prefer NAS  do...iz they sell tha demand for quallity presentation for what seemz (only seemz) to be deep....why ,only, seemz?!....cauze NAS iz as inconsistent in hiz massagez throughout hiz work as he iz bout  hiz effortz overall...despite this...NAS iz a tallanted vocalist...and haz a great lyrical credebillity (which iz undiserved right now and only existz, obviously, thanx to ILLMATIC). but i kinda got off topic...back to JAY-Z and hiz conceptz(lol)....
ima give you some examples from hiz early dayz to hiz newest shit (you gotta remeber that this iz only tha beginin):
de"evilz
dead presidentz 2
brooklynz finest
dope man
so ghetto
NYMP
anythang
iz that yo bitch
soon you"ll undrstand
this can"t be life
the ruler"z back
never change
you don"t know
blueprint
1,2,3,4(the most sleeped track....i never saw anyone discussin this unbelieveable track)

and i can go on and on....but i think you got the idea...
