I read that shit yesterday too.

The writer of the article describes how he's with Busta at Studio One in Sherman Oaks where Dre does a lot of his work.  Then Busta says something like "Don't put that in the article... Dre gets real paranoid about that shit."  The writer then says "paranoid about what?"... the stacks of reels of unreleased Snoop Dogg tracks from the Doggystyle era?

It's in the Vibe magazine with Busta on the cover with duct tape covering his mouth.

From the Dre\Snoop Rolling Stone issue back in '93...

Tomorrow, Dre will throw away this Doggy Dogg beat and start on another.

"Did you see," Dre asks, "all those reels that are in the studio?"

They are unavoidable, piled up as thickly as an adobe wall.

"There's 35 or 36 reels of Snoop in there," Dre says. "Each reel holds three songs. So far, I have five that I like. That's just a small example of how ... how deep I'm going into this album. I feel that the tracks that I'm doing for him right now are the future of the funk.

If Suge only knew...

I remember an interview on TV with Dre.  He was working on 2001 (Then titled Chronic 2000).  He had a backpack full of cassette tapes.  He said all these tapes were beats and vocals for 2001 and other projects.  It was a BACKPACK FULL!  A cassette is what 90mins!

They weren't cassettes...  They were Dat tapes.  And, in that interview, he played a beat that sampled the them from the tv show "Fame".
