Neville in for injured Reo-Coker

Nigel Reo-Coker has withdrawn from England's World Cup stand-by list and will be replaced by Phil Neville.

Troubled by a persistent back problem, West Ham captain Reo-Coker was forced out of England training on Tuesday.

Everton utility player Neville will join Scott Carson, Michael Dawson, Jermain Defoe and Andrew Johnson on England's five-man standby list.

The stand-by list is in case any of the main squad are injured before England's first game against Paraguay on 10 June.

phil neville is one of those players who doesnt get the credit he deserves, if he plays for your team u tend to notice more what a good player he is.

i disagree, i really don't see the big deal about phil neville.  he has played about 40%/50% they games he potentially COULD have played for Man Utd, why?  coz he isn't good enough.

Il never forget the day Phil Neville kept Patrick Viera quiet the whole game. I mean just shut down that midfield......Best game iv ever seen him play. Maybe a charity shield or sumthin i dont remember.........But id rather remember the penalty e gave away in Euro 2000.  ;D

That was a game at old trafford early one season, there was a classic moment when Viera was striding forward with the ball and Neville chased him down. Slid in from behind talking the ball , leaving Viera lying face down on the floor as neville went off with the ball.
