Ice Cube Also Speaks About Oprah

First it was Ludacris who felt slighted by Oprah Winfrey. Then 50 Cent told the press that he could care less about her. Now, Ice Cube is the MC pointing his finger at the talk show mogul.

"I've been involved in three projects pitched to her (Winfrey), but I've never been asked to participate," Cube tells FHM magazine in its July issue, on newsstands June 6. "For 'Barbershop,' she had Cedric the Entertainer and Eve on, but I wasn't invited. Maybe she's got a problem with hip-hop.

"She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"

Comment The hip hop outcry against Winfrey came after Ludacris claimed she was unfair to him, when he appeared alongside his Crash movie co-stars during an Oct. 2005 taping of her show.

Then in April, 50 complained about Winfrey not having enough hip hop artists on her show.

With all the criticism of Winfrey, the talk show queen defended herself earlier this month by telling New York City-based radio station Power 105.1 host Ed Lover that she actually likes hip hop. Winfrey even went as far as to say, that she loves Jay-Z, Kanye West and even has 50’s, “In Da Club” on her iPod.

Cube, a member of the legendary N.W.A., plays host to the controversial new Ni**az with Gunz mixtape.

The June 6 release date of FHM’s issue with Cube coincides with his Laugh Now, Cry Later album release.

Ice Cube is too real for her to ever have on the show.

Oprah Winfrey is only interested in selling fear to suburban America.  All she does is play on the fears of middle aged suburban women (about getting fat, terrorism, bird flu, child kidnapping, crime, rape, whatever).

fuck that

i love cube but he's just full of his own seamen on this one..

who are oprah's fan base?

middle aged white females set up in their homes all alone , who watch her show in between picking up the kids from school  and making dinner. they don't want to see ludacris on their , they don't want to see ice cube on there.

they want to see rachel ray on there giving them some cooking advise

they want to see some rape victim on their telling their "lifetime channle" story

they want to see middle aged heart throbs like tom cruise and john travolta , so they can get wet for their husbands

it's all about business. i/you/we might not agree with it , but it's what got her that billion dollar bank account

now if cube was to go on there and talk about how he got molested or somethin when he was 12 and started crying on oprah's shoulder........i can see that

but him on there to promote his new album about thugs, drugs, and low riding in a raider jersey ....i can't see that

i actually watched that show, her and ludacris got into it because ludacris was defending the use of the term "nigga" she made some comments about his music and basically got her audience to make ludacris look stupid for sayin that word in his lyrics.

Oprah Said "We as African - Americans need to stop the use of that word, because there is too much pain and hate behind it"
