Nate Dogg is not really a "singer" , he's more of a "singing rapper", his hooks are getting kind of old but he can still make great ones. His performance on "Aint No Fun" is classic, the song wouldnt be better with any other singer, he's unique. Not better then other singers, but he's nate. Music and Me wasnt a bad album at all. Not a masterpiece but something you can listen to. I'm not an RnB fan, but I listen to Nate Dogg because he's different. It's the same thing with Mack 10, he dont have spectacular mic skills but he still makes songs that his fans like.

Nate was great in his early days, but he wasnt bad AT ALL around 2000-2003. Proof, check the forum around these years. Lately, he's kind of "boring" in songs like "Shake That Ass" etc.. but let's hope he picks it up

His CV is pretty impressive

whats up with nate dogg lip synching all tjhe time at the live shows. i know hes known for it, and just last night he did a whole bunch of songs lip synching. m y friend was hella drunk and even he could tell.

probably cuz his voice sounds nasty in real life. its amazing what they do to singers' voices in the studio

This is the truth. Without some of the studio effects to help, he has a weak ass voice. He can write a hook like a mufuka though.

Well I don't listen to him to hear "notes" but good music. He made more good songs then many better singers
Nate makes better music then anyone i mentioned lol? his hooks sounds exactly the same every single time. and Nate canīt hold down an entire cd on his own, i enjoy some of his hooks but heīs overhyped.

He's dope at doing hooks that's for sure and I don't mind listening to a Nate solo track every once in a while but I have to agree with you on Nathaniel not being able to hold down an entire album on his own, I mean ever tried listening to G-Funk Classics 1 AND 2 in one take it's a bit too much for me but he's still the king of hooks IMO... 8)

I don't think there's an artist that exists that I could listen 2 albums in a row without being annoyed, but I sure could listen to a Nate Dogg mixed cd with my favorite songs

Pac - All Eyez On Me
Biggie - Life After Death

BUT... They're rappers so I guess it's different but I can easily listen to All Eyez On Me in one take, hell I got like 50 Death Row Pac OGs on my MP3 player and sometimes when I'm at work that shit is banging in my ear from beginning to end...

If I were to make a Nate Dogg compilation CD it would mostly consists of songs on which he's singing the hooks though but Never Leave Me Alone and Don't Wanna Hurt No More would definitely be on it two of my favourite Nate tracks...

I do that very often.. I just listened to Real Brothas - front to back ... Sure Iīm reading WCC besides it but I listen to the music while doing it.. Itīs not like that it just plays in the background and I donīt hear it... anyways... I even lsiten to whole albums while doing nothing besides it...

Regarding Nate:

I heard that his uncle is one of those Milli Vanilli guys so maybe he doesnīt even sing those hooks.. lol j/k..

have to disagree with that...Nate was anything but boring on that track, actually showed some range with the "singing rapping".  If Nate Dogg had used that track for the first single of his next album, he would have gone multi-plat, guaranteed

You're right... "boring" is a big word, but in Nate standards... he can do better and i'm sure he will pretty soon

people hating on G Funk Classics are stupid... that's a classic album IMO (especially Vol 1), These Days, Hardest Man In Town, Scared of Love, Never Leave Me Alone, Nobody Does It Better, Dogg Pound Gangstaville+++ so many classics, he also shows that he's able to do great solo-songs, and on the songs with features, it's very often Nate who steals the show anyway.
