Good opening game.  2 great goals from Germany.  The keepers must be bricking it with this new ball, everytime someone takes a shot it's likely to swerve and dip.

Costa Rica was terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose the other 2 games too. The German defense looked very poor with those 2 goals.

was an entertaing first game.. Costa Rica battled well but was never going to snatch a point or anything.. Bastin Schweingsteiger for germany is a player im looking forward to seeing a bit more.

Arne Friedrich was beyond horrible, I hope Germany can improve when Ballack comes back and Friedrich is replaced by some better player like Nowotny or so.

the back-four sits so high up the field. Soon as they come up against a fast forward there going to get un-done, time-after-time.
+ points, they're strong down both flanks, (esp the left), and they are capable of finding the net.
