am leaving my beloved johannesburg and will be visiting in L.A for a week.
appreciate yr recommendations for:

1. best radio stations to check out
2. music stores to check out
3. clubz for live performances

Radio: 93.5 KDay is probably the better station out here. But there's also 105.9 which is Power 106. 100.3 The Beat used to be dope, but now it's just R&B.

Stores: Amoeba, Fat Beats, 33 1/3, HipHopWest, Tower Records etc.

Clubs (This really depends on when you're coming): House Of Blues, Vault 350, Knitting Factory etc.

check ticketmaster.com for live performances.  If you're coming this weekend Quik is performing in LA.  vault350.com also.
